that is the problem, how can I log onto something that isn't there.... I cannot see anyother computers to log onto to regardless of my user name....... How do I see other computers in my network to log on to? I can see my netwrk, just no other computers... Even with another XP machine... I don't know if it makes any difference but remote assistant works great.... Appreciate the suggestions but still stuck :-(

Everything is installed..... Everything should work..... Except when I go to add a user in remote desktop on my xp machine so that it will allow me to connect from my other machine, I can only see my XP machine and it's users...... Y is this?

I am trying to connect to my XP machine from my Win 98 machine over my LAN but the only problem that I can tell is that remote desktop can't see my '98 machine when I try to set up users for remote desktop. The LAN works fine remote desktop doesn't...... If someone could find me a clue about this it would be greatly appretiated......... Thanks!
