  1. lol microsoft was 1st jackass to comply does this means Vista is clean of backdoors ?
  2. not to me as I have zoomed page for bigger fonts (and if you'd increase your font size too, 1em should do it, you'd get same result) some words are pushed to next line thus instead having 4 lines and small text as is now originaly I have 5 lines and bigger/readable letters and my resolution isn't big at all, its 1600x900 with 125% DPI so who ever has 1080p (and they are more common) and sadly 100% (default) DPI is screwed as you say looks awful on wide screen
  3. that rule may worth for phisycal (or whatever its spelled)- solid books but for monitors you can't tell me that THAT is practical yes I know that in nature it is better for human to stress the neck as little as possible hence why non wide-screen monitors were favored as you don't need to go constant right-left with whole head but just short with eyes but as it is that age doesn't exist anymore not to mention small fonts, not only it will ENABLE people to become blind 100% faster but will make you suffer alot on my old Opera I have auto zoom every page to 130%, just to increase fonts to READABLE state and fill the screen as it should with such lame webpages
  4. oh sorry didn't know you was that person no, I can't show you anything as I reverted back to old one and am sticking to it forever
  5. Who're 'they'? Enforcing reboot? Where? What? who ever makes it previous versions didn't need reboot, new ones do
  6. yes smaller letters on bigger resolutions (thus even MORE SMALLER display output) is so logical dunno what caught people these days but they are idiots and they ride id***-wave I even love on many webpages how content is centered yet squished for 1024x768 resolution hooray for 70% unused space and huge a** scroll down content
  7. "You post in wrong forum!" Its harder for me to navigate in this skin "oh, i upgraded all this last night. how about to give me some time to sort out everything?" no complaints I only wanted to know how to change it
  8. I only hope for SP2 altho SP1 without any additional hotfix runs just fine for me but if boot/logon could be 50% faster then it would be sweet !
  9. I hate when they started enforcing reboot upon installation which is unnecessary
  10. seriously, comparing to old skin this one sucks donkey balls how do I change to something better ? my profile offers nothing
  11. don't have high hopes from 8.1 nothing big in Client came, they did more things in server R2 than Client (w 8.1) for client, what they tweaked the start panel, they added flag button and some few tweaks to file manager (explorer) with virtual folders some more small tweaks to this metro thingy and nothing more its just overall a patch to RTM, its not even an SP1 therefore its dog s*** again there was presentation on YT uploaded, 2 and half hours of bull s***, and only server got most attention
  12. except that ixquick puts ads on 1st page which are even worse than that of google
  13. they are not all crapware and untill you try something don't comment on it tyvm
  14. well I use Wise Registry Cleaner this program is always freeware (and no ads) it both searches and cleans redundant reg entries (allows you what/not to remove, suggests what is safe/and not) and defrags registry too
  15. you act like 13 year old kid
  16. although I don't use your software bigmuscle as I'm on win7 but I can recommend from user standpoint that with such pop-ups you actually as developer achieve nothing its much nicer to simply add it either in rclick with About dialog or maybe on 1st run when your app starts btw this wasn't bad criticism, just a food for thought
  17. -//forum error//-
  18. there are ways but it wouldn't be appropriate to say it
  19. to be honest, those small changes they could have made for RTM question is was it deliberate or just lazyness
  20. I always use PE to change sys files, anything else is trouble
  21. replace them in either safe mode or PE think that otherwise software protection platform kicks in and prevents replacement
  22. from software standpoint, there is no reason for them NOT to release it for win7 from marketing standpoint, they could deny it to yet again "persuade" users to switch to winblows 8
  23. start button will come back, classic start menu won't
  24. just because fixes/patches won't be given after April 2014, doesn't mean XP will be so heavily insecure and prone to mega malware or even more than now the product won't become garbage in May 2014 nor will it become unsupported by various applications general rule applies: if it ain't broken don't fix it I'm on w7 sp1 and didn't install any hotfix since SP1 came out should I be paranoid, jump up and down and pull out my hair ? ----> no in fact, you're more secure with "3rd party apps" than anything that comes out of MS labs ditch IE, java and .net then get decent firewall, now youre 80% more securer than before unless you change hardware and no driver is available for XP, this OS will live 10 more years
  25. that reminds me heavily on unreleased and dropped (failed product) Windows Neptune same sh*t, an HTML GUI with stupid buttons to rotate and crop images same went with system settings the only difference, Neptune used Active X Desktop by IE, and winblows 8 uses "metro", yet again by IE win8 is anything but evolution, they reused old idea from 1999 in bit refined way with touch controls
