  1. WinLirc: http://winlirc.sourceforge.net/ UIce: http://www.mediatexx.com/ both support Media Player Classic... make sure you use a program thats listed before you start.
  2. ok, yes, i know i would probably get a better answer from the doom9 forums or another forum, but i don't feel like signing up to another forum ... i got a SVCD movie that i had broken down to 3 SVCD's about 4 years ago, and was an id*** and converted them to PAL (lol) they play fine on my computer, but want to merge the 3 CD's to 1 DVD. now, i got 3 mpg files, copied them to my hard drive but have roughly 2 seconds of overlay that i would want to remove as well so the merge is completly seamless. I've been trying to follow some of the tutorials out there, and have yet to find out how exactly to do this. I have used TMPG and under MPEG Tools, i merged all 3 mpgs into 1, and have opened VirtualDub and removed the 2 second overlay.. but where i run into problems is that virtual dub only allows to save as AVI.. and don't know what to do from there.. so, how do you guys take SVCD (PAL @ 25FPS) and convert it to DVD (NTSC @ 23.976FPS)? I've been following the tutorial here so far: http://forum.videohelp.com/viewtopic.php?t=166237 any suggestions or tips on doing this..?
  3. the link: http://unattended.msfn.org/files/global/MS...attendedPDF.zip worked for me. i put it up on my server incase you still can't download it, but i'll be removing it in about 12 hours. http://www.bio.pk-designs.com/MSFNUnattendedPDF.zip
  4. awesome thanks for the notification, i got 0.5.0 lol guess i should upgrade for those that want to see a preview of it, check out this video tutorial. http://www.recolored.com/beachballtut.php *btw.. anyone know the name of that theme?*
  5. If your BIOS has the setting to press a key to pick your boot device you can set the first boot device to the harddrive in the BIOS. and when your booting with your unattended cd hit the button to get the boot device select CD-Rom and when it reboots it'll run from the hard drive. but i don't know how many motherboards have this feature. btw.. make sure you have the file "bootfix.bin" in your I386 folder, thats the file that brings up the "press any key to boot from cd..."
  6. awesome find /bookmarked & Downloading now. at only 34 megs, i wonder how hard it would be to add this to an unattened xpcd with cdshell
  7. hah nice I grew up with Dos, Xtree (LOL), Windows 3.1 and an ancient menu system that i only remeber as "Menu". I have to agree with survyad, i'm a GUI type of guy, i find it easier to click a checkbox to trigger an option, rather then using /? to find the switch to use.
  8. no problem man na, i sometimes put linux on my server to play around with it, but usually format and put windows back on a couple days later cause i get fustrated with it lol.
  9. *edit* nevermind, above link answered all my questions, thought that was the link to just the AP forums. thanks
  10. Search is your friend but here ya go.. bookmarked this like 4 days ago, but haven't gotten around to trying it. http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=50523
  11. kinda of a old thread =P but since its up here... I like many other people here use if just for screenshots. using the printscreen key.
  12. hah yea i did. this post is still going at 4 months later? geeze. (didn't read pages 1-3 so can't contirbute to it )
  13. i dunno, i don't see a file called "addbookmark.js" anywhere, i'd just wait until the next version of firefox, should be fixed by then.
  14. *EDIT: ahh nevermind, question about the linux stuff was answered by reading the documentation * lol that would rock if it made a dual-bootable Windows XP / Linux all unattended HAHA for those paranoid (like me...) i used a packet sniffer and used a key of 12345-12345-12345-12345-12345 and searched after about 100,000 packets.. nothing in there so looks like the key is NOT sent to the server.. so i wouldn't worry about it, or just change it later if you're paranoid =P oh and be prepared to be downloading A LOT.. lol. i'm downloading "oem.7z" right now, and so far its at 134 megs out of 255 megs..
  15. playin with this now.... but why is it downloading linux stuff? LOL "Downloading isolinux.cfg" "Downloading linux.fat.bs" etc.. lol
  16. another awesome tool by jcarle Get the .net framework 2.0 here if you don't have it: http://download.microsoft.com/download/5/6...5a/dotnetfx.exe
  17. I use CDBurnerXP Pro (Freeware): http://www.cdburnerxp.se/ and have installed BurnAtOnce (Freeware) but haven't really tested it throughly: http://www.burnatonce.com/index.htm?news never liked the bloat of Nero, but i do got a paid copy of 6.0.somethin that i used to use.
  18. yeap, it's a big security risk, once someone has gained access to using an exploit they can do whatever they want on your system. best protection you have is to use a very strong password, containing a-z A-Z 0-9 and maybe some additional characters like !@#$%^&*()_+ etc... or maybe you could get a software firewall such as outpost pro, and set it up to only allow inbound connections on certain IP's, example the IP Range of the company you work at, etc...
  19. any CD can be copied, just a matter of taking the time and finding out how to circumvent it. only way i can possibly think of is: 1. don't give him a copy lol (which you shouldn't be anyways as the cd-key would need to be changed) 2. put a password on it.. encrypted admin password in the winnt.sif. 3. use some soft of boot loader like cdshell and see if theres a password option in there. 4. make modified items that say "Andrews Unattended XP CD" by modifying the setup billboard, wallpaper, RunOnceEx/BatchFile, etc..
  20. what happens if you press print screen then go to mspaint and paste it there? reason i'm askin, is this will determine if its how the software is copying the image, or if its some sort of corruption of memory.
  21. this can sometimes be caused by a worm, or maybe someone was just playin around with the registry or a registry modifying program to secure your computer.. anyways, this should allow you back into your regedit, if no one ever uses your comp, i would suggest getting an Antivirus program doing a scan for any worms. also a scan with Ad-Aware and Hijackthis to make sure. Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System] "DisableRegistryTools"=dword:00000000 [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer] "NoFolderOptions"=dword:00000000 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer] "NoFolderOptions"=dword:00000000 incase you don't know what to do with that, open notepad and paste that information into it. then hit file save as and name it "registry.reg" (in quotes) and then double click on it.. press yes when it asks if you want to merge it into your registry.
  22. ahh i see, it's not just your computer with this issue, mine resizes to the default as well when the box is closed. i'll look a little tomarrow when i wake up for a fix, but i'm not really ever in that screen to actually notice it.
  23. http://www.canopus.com/products/VideoFX/index.php# you have to buy it... or find a freeware alternative. Warez links are not allowed here on MSFN. *Edited* cause of a lack of translation... I think...
