  1. KOSS SB45 3.5mm Connector Circumaural Multi-Media Stereophone SENNHEISER PC151 3.5mm Connector Circumaural Headset One of these, both I know and I must say that the Sennheiser sounds more powerful. I don´t know what to think about the ICEmat steelseries 61003 3.5mm Connector Circumaural 4H Headset, but the design looks okay, so do the specifications...
  2. He... I dont see much diference in speed between 256kB an 512kB cache, neither in 266 and 333MHz bus.
  3. Red the whole review. I must say it’s illogic to me. In HD Tach is the fastest in other tests I see it’s a midrange HDD. On THG it shows other numbers; Winner in most benchmarks and tests. To bad I didn’t get my fingers on a 7200.11 to test it my self here (**** Mexico ), but I have the WD 16SE 500 AAKS here (close to 70MB/s with HD Tach 3.0.4.0).
  4. @ LUZR4LIFE, Why do you have the USB bracket in between your TV and VGA card? it would do better underneath all the cards, for example on the lowest position in the back, this would give your VGA card a better airflow... @ bonestonne, 6 3/4" Are the shortest drives I have come along, why would it not fit?
  5. I don’t even look at the page, the forum is all I know... News posting is hard, and not all people are made for it. Also consumes a lot of time...
  6. I know they perform about 15% less then they clamed, but still one of the best you can get... *These shards are horrible to read by the way...
  7. Hmmm, could this have something to do with the 4GB and how it’s installed? Do you use dual channel? I don’t think it’s the video card performance, more likely it’s the motherboard/RAM in combination with the OS…
  8. Well, in this case it was the sales text of Dell, like a big billboard. I replaced it with proper images from the same site .
  9. Indeed, we are talking here about a 95US$ mobo + a 80US$ VGA card, so that’s just 40US$ more then integrated graphics when we look at the same kind of quality of motherboard... Also it will support DX10 at this moment + OpenGL 2.0 witch will come in handy for CAD apps . A big plus too is dual Monitor support and DVI, although there are G33 mobos that have DVI on board...
  10. All goes slowly, but I think I can send some real pictures in some weeks . I didn’t have time to render more images; I’m building the place up now .
  11. That CPU has a TDP of 95W, but will be more likely using 65W (load) on stock voltage, your Video card will draw some 124W (load) (as I remember well), and each HDD some 15Watts (seek), but not al will be taken from the 12V line... Just to get you on the right track here . By the way, you can´t add those 2 12V lines together like that...
  12. Nice setup, the only thing I would throw in is a simple E2140, just 30 US$ more... What about the DVD-RW and HDD?
  13. I think the site from SilentPCreview will help you on your way .
  14. I have DJs as customers here for example; we mount the LCD screen to the right side of the computer. At the back of the computer we mount 2 bars to protect the connectors from breaking/bending. I’m always worried that these All-in-one systems get overheated. Laptops for example are no-go for these DJs. I believe that for LAN party freaks it will be the same...
  15. Indeed, this is why I asked him abut the "split screen look" . He can also force it in the drivers...
  16. 80-150US$ that will be for those laptops. Andrew932, Just contact the maker of the laptop, you can find the contact on there site or in your warranty description. If that not helps look at the label(s) at the back of the screen and we will try to find out who made it and where you can order a new one. Prepare to pay 100US$ for handling and transport too if it comes from Asia. I just wonder how far you want to go . You could always sell the laptop like it is now and buy another one...
  17. Gateway uses laptop parts inside so there design can be made a lot slimmer then the Dells. Dell uses "normal" PC parts but still, there will be not much you can do when swapping out parts, screen, PSU and mobo are not standard. I would buy neither by the way...
  18. About what are you talking here? Like the screen is split in 2 images?
  19. About what OS are we talking here?
  20. Take a look at Office Shrinker.
  21. Well, I disagree with nmX.Memnoch, it’s an in-expensive PSU, but still will do its job. The PSU has 2 12V lines that each are rated at 19A, so that should be enough power to feed any of the gamer’s video cards. You have PCI-E 1.1, but still I can’t guarantee it will work although the nForce4 was a popular chipset. Just be safe and DO NOT buy online, there are lots of computershops nearby for sure, so you can return it if it doesn’t work. And no, you will not damage any thing when you plug a PCI-E 2.0 card into a PCI-E 1.1 sloth .
  22. Well, HP offers them for 250 US$. The external ink system is about 50US$ here in Mexico...
  23. Right, how about 36 pages per minute, colour or B/W . Okay, they come out at 80% of darkness, but still . To others here: All depends on the price you like to spend and if you need it waterproof. After fighting with prices of prints and speed I found finally an inkjet printer that is worth to take a look at, its the HP Officejet Pro K5400 Printer series- models. Why I chose the K5400dtn over a Samsung CLP300: - Network connectivity, 10/100 LAN - Paper load 350 pages more - 2 paper trays - Faster colour output - Better gradients - Energy saving - Cartridges are cheaper then from laser - Duplex printing system (but it’s slow, sadly enough) - External ink system! This is an aftermarket product, but we are talking about 1 litre DEY-ink for about 25-30US$, good for about 40k to 47k prints in B/W!
  24. I tried to install Microsoft's Steady State, but it didn’t work on my UA install, so I would be surprised if it did on PE... I still have to fin out what it “needs” to run…
  25. Hi junk1208, Welcome to THE forum. I have seen (heard) a lot of your problem around, mostly due to bad cabling and shielding of the audio ports and cable inside a case. Better cases have a ferrite core around the cable that prevents ripple voltages on shielding but I guess yours doesn’t have that. in some places, like electronics parts stores, you can buy those ferrite cores, just make a loop with your wires trough the core and see if that helps a bit. If you are handy then you could replace the whole cables too by a good shielded cable. Also there is some thing about ground-loops (going to read it my self, first time I see it on wiki ), try to avoid them. I hope this helps a bit...
