  1. I never saw C1E drop voltage, just the multiplier. EIST could give problems when OCing your CPU (just some side information).
  2. That Kworld tuner would be one of the best solutions; you can hook up everything and use a simple screen as a TV. I don’t know the cables you talk about, but the 60Hz isn’t the problem directly, you are just missing a module that can convert the synchronization between the 2 video standards. e.g. combining the HSYNC and VSYNC you will get a CSYNC, but you need the other way around so a CSYNC signal converted in HSYNC and VSYNC… You already get it; it’s not that easy .
  3. I’m almost sure after reinstalling Windows there will be no problems... There must be some leftovers hanging around.
  4. What you need is a video to VGA adapter/convertor. Take a look at Kworlds solucions.
  5. Even I didn’t know that .
  6. Yes you can, it´s called a cross-wire UTP RJ-45 cable.
  7. Only the ASUS can be find in stock, I presume you buy here... But it’s not a superclocked version or so, 600MHz core and 1.8GHz RAM. If you have the cash then I would wait and leave the 8600GT for what it is.
  8. Something must have messed up the driver, the only way now is to reinstall Windows when "last known good" and "safe mode" don’t work any more...
  9. That would make no sense... The P4 2.0GHz has a FSB of 400 and 512kB of cache, the Celeron D has 64bit instruction set, 533MHz FSB and 256kB cache. The cache isn’t doing so much and the 933MHz difference should be way faster... I would say, try a BIOS update… EDIT: No 64bit...
  10. Simple answer... No...
  11. I would pick the HX series over the TX series. The HX has fewer ripples in the voltages and it’s modular . The HX520 would do fine...
  12. There are more cases that have the PSU on the bottom, brands like Antec, Coolermaster and ArticCooling.
  13. Standard problem with ATI tray tools; If you used an other VGA card before on that system, then make sure you deleted all drivers and REG settings completely. Other then that, what the other said .
  14. jcarle he already did that: Spinman, I would think it’s a bad seated BIOS chip or indeed a voltage problem of the motherboard (besides the PSU). Check the voltage settings in the BIOS and post them here please.
  15. Did you de-install the ATI display drivers before installing the nVidia card? I would try a new fresh install of XP/2003 first and then we know if it’s hardware or software...
  16. Looks like the end of SLI some how with the new 45nm CPUs, even with the nVidia i780 is still not clear that it works flawless... Intel got them really by there balls...
  17. Hum... I think it’s not my parents fault .
  18. Sad news... things are going along slowly... Must be Mexican style I think . I went to the workshop to see how the furniture was coming along and after 1.5 months they made exactly... nothing... *cries*...
  19. If you run it on XP or Vista all will work fine...
  20. What version of XP are we talking about here? SP2? The problem is that older VIA chipsets need a driver to work with SATA. The drive isn’t damaged and data is still on the disk. I would reinstall windows, download and install the newest VIA drivers and see if it helped... For sure it’s NOT a hardware problem…
  21. The last one form ASUS my friend, it boots with the XQ9650...*take a deep breath...* You could not OC with it, at least it works. It doesn’t let you modify the FSB or the CPU multiplier... But, I have to say I don’t have that board here in Mexico, I rely on information from forums and reviews when it comes to that motherboard…
  22. 5MB for a song Isn’t loss-less, when we talk about Flack or so we are talking about 25MB to 50MB for each song or so, but still 8TB is ALOT off Space .
  23. Hello freetomove, Welcome to THE forums. Your links don’t work that you posted. Newegg doesn’t ship to your country, so how are you getting it there?
  24. Give us the model of your computer or motherboard and we will give you the link to the chipset drivers...
  25. That’s odd, I didn’t see that BIOS version before... could it have been an update on the microcode, like working with the QX9650?
