  1. Yes you can buy the SE version without dropping in water, but why buy it now and not in 1 month when the real new chipset is lounged? Remember the X38 was released really late so the X48 is already waiting and will be released next month.
  2. Man... this could be straight out of a book... Are you sure you didn´t "miss" your job where you were made for? Why fix computers when you could have done some thing like this?
  3. I could be outdated, but before 32bit apps ran almost twice as fast on a 32bit OS like NT then on a 16bit OS like 95/98(SE)/ME... This was on a Pentium pro about 12 years ago (on 95)... Correct me if I’m wrong please...
  4. Waiting for more stories, so I can drink my cup of tee (or two) while reading it. The word shed came close to "sh*t" also, so I already knew something was fishy about that word/name . By the way, change that animated avatar please, before I have to do it . Rules:
  5. Indeed, or H.264, that would be even better (Speed, quality)...
  6. If every one knows it, why would I ask then? And yes I played the game, even announced it here on MSFN.org...
  7. There are deals all over the year, especially on computer hardware. That black Friday thingy must be a over hyped sport or something! Here, 119 bucks @ http://www.compusa.com/products/product_in...uct_code=345206 There are 2 types of those Seagates: FreeAgent Desktop with "only" USB2.0 FreeAgent Desktop with "all the goodies" And then we have the version that you can connect directly in your home/office network. By the way, all these versions come with an external PSU. If you like to take it form place to place you would prefer something smaller, like a 2.5" USB2.0 drive!
  8. Return the d*mn thing...
  9. I would make a diferent setup: - Place the image on a web server - Make mail-layout HTML - Link in the layout to the image on the web server This will lower mail traffic. It’s just a guess what you could do, I’m sure there are more solutions...
  10. Indeed, like you stated here: http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=107011
  11. I had to laugh about that so much, Nicely worded story, I like it a lot, reminded me of 10 to 12 years back . Welcome to the forum by the way!
  12. None of both are really bad. Let me tell you this: You can’t find any better. Speed is about the same so don’t worry about that neither. The warranty is different, most of the time Seagate has longer warranty periods the WesterDigital, but this depends on the country you live in. in this case WD will give you ONLY 1 year (2 years in European countries) so I would go for Seagate with 5 years of warranty! But, both are only USB2; Personally I would look for a version that supports eSATA and EEE1394(Firewire). You pay a few bucks more but ´m sure it will serve you in the future...
  13. Just backup you information, and don’t put personal/important files on it. I’m sure it has a broken line inside. If it happens again, just return the stick for warranty. It’s good to have your own info back .
  14. A beer? Or 2 I would not go for a fanless PSU, most modern PSUs have a 12cm fan inside that would make like 18-24dB/A noise. Really, that Chieftec would be the best pick for it’s price. I know the brand and I can tell you they are on the same level as Antec . An extra fan in the back, if possible 12cm, would be the second fan besides the CPU fan. The CPU fan is controlled active, your motherboard will use he lowest voltage that is necessary to keep your CPU cool enough.
  15. err... B)
  16. No, that’s not normal, normally it will light up when it’s accessed/initialized. Looks more like an error "code" to me...
  17. I think it’s not supported any more. I’m surprised it sees the LS-120...
  18. Or the other way around for other products: Assembled in the USA and part made all over the world, but 100% made in the USA doesn’t exist in home/office use parts .
  19. This would fit better in the Network Forum part, moving it there .
  20. Sadly, it looks like some signal lines smoked up. (Almost) Everything can be repaired, but in this case it will cost a lot more then just a new drive.
  21. Nop, there are not...
  22. First off, I'm taking health this year, and we're doing a nutrition unit, and starting on more sex ed in a few weeks. I'll have to ask my teacher about that, puntoMX. That wasn’t a joke . I forgot to say that if you go on a diet, it doesn’t matter indeed how much you eat, it´s what you eat. Remember that a balanced dinner would be best, so balance it! Never eat days the same things or a lot of it at the same time...
  23. I´m sure 303 is talking about the block size, but that would effect FAT32 more then NTFS...
  24. Sex is a good way too to lose weight . But that is when you are ready for it. You could use a bike too, I love mountain biking my self. Any thing that makes your adrenaline come up would burn a lot too .
  25. There is a big chance indeed.
