your maybe infected with "smiley central" its a thing that attacks messenger & ads crap 2 your conversations.. its just a process that launches with msn messenger, endtask on it & restart messenger, u should be fine.. scan for spyware again & delete the exe.. i forget the name of the process , but look in taskmanager & stop any unknown processes

cant u make it easier & .rar/7zip up the program files directory of EA Games\battlefield 1942 & extract it 2 a new pc.. then run a .reg file u exported from your pc? when it asks for a serial, just run the .exe file inside your eReg folder of eagames\bf1942 not tested it, but id be interested 2 see if it works.. it should

i dont screw up any cds/dvds ive only had about 20 messed up cds since i started using pc (about 4yrs ago) but it was ONLY from roxio easy cd 5.. havent used it since.. nero ownz

well, if i mean physical disk , i usually format once every 3 months or so, but i format my vmware disk basically atleast once a day (sometimes more, sometimes less)

@galvanocentric the problem isnt the size of the discs, i have a dvd, which contains about 3GB more then i need smaller installer = less time to install/less disc space occupied

i remove almost everything.. except ie core & a few other things needed for networking but open nlite & look @ all the components u can remove.. with most of them theres been security risks in the past, thus removing them prevents further exploits

by removing unneeded programs/files u dont use, thus reducing security holes

let me add.. you only run into probs if your a n00b and randomly select crap or select stuff that u have no idea what its needed/used 4 ive been using nLite since like day1 & its made my 3Ghz perform better /faster & its made my OS more secure..

cuz your msi switch is invalid.. make sure the program author allowed silent installs (maybe will have 2 email them) if u cant find it in the docs/site there has 2 be a program thats being called , r u using any switchless installers or anything?
