something weird because it works for me, problem should reside on your side @mickmack, never talked about drive icons, question was about desk icons (my comp, recycle, my docs and network). so if you just want those, simply use the theme thing, if not, i would use iconpackager to set my icons while i record the changes made into registry with regshot or regsnap. hope this helps

there's no need for regfiles, create a .theme file to define your icons. http://unattended.msfn.org/advanced/cosmetics/theme.htm should help

latest version is 4.0.1 i think (speaking from memory), it was released between 14 and 7 days ago. there's a full version (dvd) and a light version on cd (that wasn't released yet last time i checked), so i would download the light version to see what comes with and then decide to download the full version or wait (month/s) for the next version

yep, there's a hack that let you run it on sse2 machines (if i remember correctly only itunes and another app fail to run there). for the moment the only possibility if you don't have the hardware is to use a VM like m$ VPC or VMware. anyway i'll stick to windows/ubuntu and let's see what happens on its final version
