  1. yes, i forgot to mention, specific sound control panel item was installed on both setups (as well as a systemtray icon). great job! more power to you!
  2. ive got a CMI (nforce2ultra400-based epox ep-8rda3+) and a realtek (viakt266a-based jetway v266b) controller. it works flawlessly on both setups!
  3. wow! that's cool! i've been curiously waiting for the next update of this one!
  4. @kremlincrackers though this may not be your main problem during the powerdvd installation, but i saw that in your setup.iss, you have: szDir=C:\Programas\CyberLink\PowerDVD i dunno if i didn't get your post correctly, but would this be causing the incorrect path installation of powerdvd? i think there were a couple of recommendations for proper powerdvd5 installation posted here.
  5. astalavista, i remembered, the initial pages of this topic has some posters attaching the xp setup screens. anyway, here's mine:
  6. hi, is this the patched ATI Catalyst driver? or a plain Catalyst?
  7. here's the msiexec driven winamp script i used (under autoit) w/c worked for me: RunWait("msiexec -i "winamp.msi Xname=Slipstreamed Xkey=ABCDE-FGHIJ-KLMNO-PQRST Xfull=1 /QN REBOOT=Suppress")
  8. possibly, as with the case of MS Office, since the installer is mostly uncompressed, you can compress it further as an SFX file.
  9. [Params.Adapter1] InfID=PCI\VEN_10B7&DEV_1700 ConnectionName="3 Com Gigabit LOM" so i really have to specify the hardware-id? i plan on using this on PC's with different brands/types of LAN card, would it be applicable to set a common setting accross all of em?
  10. i was able to add the code on my winnt.sif, unfortunately, it didnt worked. i wonder what have i missed.
  11. although in my case, i won't mind if ip assignment will ever be mixed-up. i just wanna experience the speedier bootup times that disabled-DHCP provides. @Burger: i would also like to know, should i place all these under winnt.sif? also, for target PCs with multiple LAN cards, will i only duplicate entries that have the adapter1 and change them all to adapter2? thanks. would it be also possible instead for me to simply enter a range for the pre-set manual IP settings for the detected LAN cards, rather than declare each detected LAN cards?
  12. i agree, that's one more advantage i want to achieve with disabling DHCP, is that it renders XP to boot faster w/o pauses.
  13. @Burger, thanks very much for the pointers, will try to apply those on my unattended compilation. @Bâshrat the Sneaky, as much as i love using DHCP, i like the practice of having it disabled by default (including the service). i am planning on using this on different PCs and some of them have multiple network cards... i would like to implement an unattended cd that can automatically assign static ip addressing for each PCs.
  14. i had this error when i was installing Zone Alarm Pro 4 via the cmdlines.txt method.
  15. thanks, i've tried reading through the help file but i find the steps a bit complicated. i was wondering if what files are required for me to edit, and what entries do i need to put into. thanks in advanced, i hope you could bear with me, im really new at this.
  16. Hi again, I am unsure if this had been asked before but I would like to know if there is a possible common way for me to create a way that could implement static ip addressing for an unattended xp boot cd? I wanna assign addressing like 192.168.0.x... ip numbering if ever the cd will be used on a machine with multiple LAN cards. Thanks.
  17. it got me curious if it would be possible playing an audio file as early as during the t-39 stage... because i noticed that its possible to run separate applications (to some extent) as early as the t-39 stage which was discussed on this link.
  18. i think PSKill is a 3rd party app that does what taskkill can do. i think the problem is that after a reboot, ym keeps opening automatically. the only workaround i did was to manually login and modify ym's preferences...
  19. **** i'm not so stupid!!!! There is a nice nice nice list but it's not complete with ALL the updates oops. im sorry, my bad.
  20. @mazin, i think specifying it as an exe or not will give the same results as its pointing the same file. also, its in the path. i just detailed the filename under autoit. i was wondering though if the pattern should be installing the app then applying the registry enties after the installation. or it should be the other way around, like in some cases: nero.
  21. i suppose not. i think all pending processes will wait (when you add the wait parameter) for the app to end before it continues loading those pending processes/apps (explorer included).
  22. just a followup question. why were the regfile i set to run after silent install of winzip didnt worked? here's my autoit-code RunWait($sd&"\Others\winrar\WinZip.exe") RunWait("regedit.exe /S "&$sd&"\Others\winrar\registerzip.reg") the installation went fine, its just that the settings for winzip were still the defaults. btw, the reg file contained this: Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Nico Mak Computing] [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Nico Mak Computing\WinZip] [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Nico Mak Computing\WinZip\fm] "assoc"="1" "shlExt"="1" ".ZIP"="0" ".LZH"="0" ".ARJ"="0" ".ARC"="1" ".TAR"="0" ".TAZ"="1" ".TGZ"="0" ".TZ"="1" ".GZ"="0" ".Z"="1" ".CAB"="0" ".UU"="0" ".UUE"="0" ".XXE"="0" ".B64"="1" ".HQX"="1" ".BHX"="1" ".MIM"="1" [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Nico Mak Computing\WinZip\ListView] "ListFormat"="0" "FullRowSelect"="0" "GridLines"="0" "Col_Name"="0,L,139,T" "Col_Type"="1,L,100,T" "Col_Date"="2,L,138,T" "Col_Size"="3,R,70,T" "Col_Ratio"="4,R,41,T" "Col_Packed"="5,R,63,T" "Col_CRC"="6,L,0,F" "Col_Attrib"="7,L,0,F" "Col_Path"="8,L,93,T" [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Nico Mak Computing\WinZip\ToolBar] "Button1"="new,open,favor,add,extra,encrypt,view,check,wiz" [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Nico Mak Computing\WinZip\WinIni] "win32_version"="R6.3-9.0" [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Nico Mak Computing\WinZip\WinZip] "IBS"="1" "AltDrag"="1" "Adjustable"="1" "AlwaysOnTop"="0" "ReuseWindows"="1" "SpanDefault"="0" "DialogSplitFactor"="2" "ExtractSkipOlder"="0" "CheckOutIconOnly"="1" "ShowTips"="0" "VersionDate"="5/28/2004" "Setup"="0" "Display"="1152,864" "Main"="0,50,50,656,342" "AssocMsg"="0" "ViewerFont"="F3FFFFFF000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000436F7572696572204E6577000000000000000000 00000000000000000000000013" "RecycleBin"="1" "wizard"="0" "Extract95"="1" "AnimatedBusy"="1" "Beep"="1" "MRUSize"="1" [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Nico Mak Computing\WinZip\wzshlext] "DropDialogWinzip"="1" "DropDialogExplorer"="1" "MenuBitmaps"="1" "ShellExtensionSubMenu"="1" "AddToFolder"="1" "CabCheckFixed"="1" "CabCheckRemovable"="1" "CabCheckOther"="1" "CommentCheckFixed"="1" "CommentCheckRemovable"="1" "CommentCheckOther"="1" "MenuCfgTable"="22222222222220002222"
  23. WOW! Thanks! Just done it! Thanks a lot! This is cool! especially combined with unattended WinRAR.
  24. i was unable to located and download from winzip's site, that winzip32.exe file that's being discussed at this thread.
