  1. OK, well, I decided to go and buy another wireless router today, and I'm glad I did!! Here is my current configuration: | | MODEM/INTERNET | ------------- | |-- Dell | Wireless | | Router |-- Server | | ------------- | | UPLINK PORT | ------------- | |-- Main Desktop | Wired |-- Testing Machine | Router |-- Wire to Bed (this was for before I added wireless to my room) | | ------------- | | CROSSOVER CABLE | ------------- | | | Wireless | | Router | | | ------------- What do you guys think?? Too much wireless for you? BTW, that UPLINK PORT has a LONG wire going from my basement to my room (through the walls, of course)!

  7. x(x2+x+1) + 4 ?? There's nothing to solve... Its not an equation, its an expression. You can only simplify it.

  9. It could run office apps, play non-3D gamers, browse the web, etc. all pretty fast. And this was without using nLite. So yeah, if you are not of the category to install a thousand useless tools/games just for the sake of trying them out, then WinXP will run fine on the machine you describe above. I was able to run XP on the following config using an nLited version: 233MHz, 64MB RAM, 3GB HD Pretty decent for web browsing and word processing...
  10. I still have my NES and SNES!! They still work! I play with them every once and a while...
  11. <offtopic> m8E, his signature is a dynamic PHP image that checks your browser's headers, checks who is connecting to it, and then takes the IP and does a trace on which ISP it belongs to... Nothing hard to do... I've done it before! BTW, only YOU can see that particular image with your IP/Browser/ISP... </offtopic>
  12. You're kidding me, right? I used to have a bunch of sites full of viruses, but I lost them all...
  13. No you won't... There's 4 different wireless access "networks" at our school... Two for the staff, one for the students (need permission from the admin), and one for "outside guest"... However, for all of them (except the "outside guest"), you need a username and password... They all have their SSID broadcast set to OFF, and anyone (like myself) can access the "outside guest" one... You just have to ask for the right SSID to access it! Network Stumbler won't pick any networks up if there's no SSID being broadcasted. Also, the max number of wireless access points that you'll find in front of the school is probably 2 or 3 (not belonging to the school).
  14. OMG!! She's back!! NO!!!! [ Moved. ]
  15. I always use access points that I find! If there's no Internet where I am, but there's an access point, why not use it?
  16. guessin u only buy the mac for the looks? y dont ya just buy the case or ibook shell ? :S 'Cuz I want the real thing! Plus, I can have both OSes on the same PC! It really wouldn't be "switching over"... Back on topic, guys!
  17. Gamehead i though neva hear u say thos words lol An iBook, specifically... But I'll install Windows XP as a Virtual PC since I'm still loyal to it!
  18. @gamehead200: After the hundreds of desktop screenshots on this forum, don't you have an eye for windows yet ? Almost anything is possible when making Windows look like something else. I've fooled some Mac users with panther styles ony my copm, but we should make the skill of discerning operating systems another advantage we have over them. Yeah, I have an eye for Windows... But now because we're starting to use the Mac lab at our school for most of our English classes, I'm sort of getting used to recognizing a Mac desktop... It sort of makes me want to get a Mac!
  19. Hmmmm... Interesting... It says "user posted image"...
  20. Hmmm... Why is everyone posting in the wrong forum today? [ Moved. ]
  21. No problem... Knowing how to use Photoshop is a good thing!
  22. Probably because of all the posters I've been putting around the school!
  23. Ha... No. This is definitely NOT true... And I doubt Microsoft would be interested in losing money...
  24. http://imagehost.astromike.com/uploaded/bg_header_mod.jpg Good enough for you?
