  1. Your sig is too big:
  2. I didn't flash the BIOS over the network... I only ran AIDA32 over the network to see what my motherboard was...
  3. Yeah... I've only flashed BIOSes 3 times in my life and I only screwed one mobo up... So 2/3 times is OK, I guess... The time I screwed up one of my mobos, I was doing a quick look-up of the BIOS, so I obviously screwed it up... Also, I get very nervous when doing it! My heart beats like mad, while thinking that I'm going to screw everything up!
  4. I hate how Windows file sharing works... I just did this in the same order: - Unchecked simple file sharing in Folder Options. - Stopped the "Server" service. - Disabled the "Guest" account. - Started the "Server" service. - Enabled simple file sharing. - Enabled the "Guest" account. Now everything works properly again... Its one of those Windows mysteries again...
  5. OK, I'm going to re-explain it... Computer A has AIDA32 (shared on the network) and an on-board NIC and Computer B had its BIOS flashed and does not have an on-board NIC... So I started up Computer B and ran AIDA32 (being shared from Computer A) to check my motherboard ID. Everything went fine. I got the updated BIOS and installed it with no problems. When I booted up the same computer and tried accessing Computer A on the network, it said "Access is denied." OK, fine. So I tried accessing Computer A from another computer in the house and I got the same error. So after restarting Computer A, and enabling/disabling File Sharing and restarting the "Server" service a few times, nothing helped. So my conclusion is that there is nothing wrong with Computer B (who had its BIOS flashed) but really Computer A has the problem... I will try reinstalling the NIC on Computer A... EDIT: I just updated the NIC driver on Computer A but still no luck...
  6. Well, tonight I just flashed one of my PCs' BIOS's and all went well... Before I did, I ran AIDA32 (to check the Motherboard manufacturer and BIOS info) over my network... After flashing the BIOS, I tried opening AIDA32 from the same network computer but it said Access Denied. I tried accessing AIDA32 from another computer and still got the same error. I enabled/disabled file sharing a few times on this computer and I still get the same error (even when playing around with the "Server" service)... Does anyone know what could be going on?
  7. Its so much easier to do this in Firefox... There's a checkbox that you can check or leave unchecked and it actually works, compared to IE!
  8. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v319/D00ooD/gunard.jpg That one is really weird...
  9. This is what you're missing: http://www.goat.cx (WARNING: If you're a young child, don't view this!) That's what the emoticon is...
  10. It all depends on what the building is made out of... If its made out of concrete, then the wireless signal will decrease a lot more then if there was another material... Here's the funny thing... My wireless signal is only available on one side of my house, but I get my neighbour's wireless signal in my room...
  11. Yes, Alanoll is the Nanny... As for me, however, I am the Lonely Guy: http://redwing.hutman.net/~mreed/warriorshtm/lonelyguy.htm

  15. How is it set on the main page at the bottom: http://imagehost.astromike.com/uploaded/li...s-keepalive.jpg It should be set to KEEP ALIVE and NOT connect on demand so it stays connected all the time...
  16. EXACTLY WHAT I'VE BEEN LOOKING FOR!! Thanks!
  17. Have you tried uninstalling or reinstalling the latest drivers?
  18. Sounds great! Thx!
  19. Does anyone know of a small browser (under 5MB) that can run on a USB stick and not write to the registry or hard drive? Firefox is too big and takes too long to load on a USB stick, Mozilla Embedded is too large as well (can't figure out which files are safe to remove), and anything to do with IE is out of the question... (My USB stick is not USB 2.0.)

  25. Some "friends" of mine only call me up or msg me when they either have a problem or need something (homework, etc.)... It just p***es me off that they never do anything else...
