If adding users works that way but using the /add switch instead, I'm starting to wonder why deleting users doesn't work...

Yes, but I suggest you use nLite to remove what you don't want before doing this. All should go well as long as you do not remove the feature to remove manual installs!

The Home Network Wizard is such a piece of crap... All I did was enable file sharing and that was it! Shares being accessed on all the computers, Internet, etc... Also, if you have a firewall on your router, there is no need for one on each computer!
