  1. No one else? C'mon, don't be sissies!
  2. I like mazin's addition!
  3. [ Topic closed. ] Thread going TOO far...
  4. Hehe... I use CD-Rs... Burn and throw!
  5. It already has: http://unattended.msfn.org/xp/sp2changes.htm
  6. I usually just disable it then re-enable it to gain a bit more space on my hard drive... Its useful sometimes when you haven't made a backup of your drive in a while! Just wanted to know what you guys thought of it after installing SP2...
  7. My SP2 installation went very well with no problems. Now I have a folder full of system restore files (hidden as system fiels) that I guess I don't need since everything is working well. What do you think? Should I disable then re-enable system restore, or just leave it enabled for now?
  8. This one: http://www.supportbuddy.com/sp2/ModFiles_XPSP2.rar
  9. My logs got corrupted somehow, so I saved a copy, and cleared it, so now I'm waiting to see what will happen in the next few days...
  10. Either its a bug never found in SP2 or Windows is really stupid. You DO have SP2, so I'm guessing its maybe a bug.
  11. While I was testing out to see if my hacked tcpip.sys file was working properly, I saw that I was getting an incredibly fast speed for SP2 on Shareaza (which prathapml suggested I download to test to see if the file was working properly). So I checked who the source was, and low and behold, it was Microsoft's download site giving me a fast connection on SHAREAZA... Hmmm... Don't YOU think its a bit odd? Check the pic out:
  12. Seems to be connected now... Got an updated server list and it connects... I guess that was the problem! Nothing in the event logs!
  13. Gnutella 1 and 2 connect fine, its just eDonkey that doesn't connect...
  14. Hmmm... My System Event Log is corrupt... Help? When I'm in Shareaza, all I see is eDonkey "Connecting..." and "Handshaking...", but no "Connected." and I did replace the file...
  15. Here are mine: The Dell (It's in my house, but I don't really use it... So what the hell!) The Server (Yeah, my camera sucks!) The Server Again (That's better!) The Toshiba Laptops (Ooooo...) The Old Laptop (How old? 6 years old!) The New Laptop (This one's 2 years old.) The Crappy Mac (Oh boy, this one here's about 7 or 8 years old! Yuck!) The Beta and the Main Workstation (OK...) The Beta Workstation (Yuck...) The Main Workstation (Ooooo... It glows!) All Together (I don't really have those two laptops on the desk all the time... I just put them there for show for this picture... Look at all that wiring!)

  17. Because he's a super moderator now.
  18. Definitely a trial version... Beta testers got full ISO images for previous SP2 builds with HOME or PRO versions of XP as a trial... Nothing like that is happening over here!
  19. Has anyone managed to get two controllers working on the same computer with the diagram I posted? It seems to only work on one of my computers, but not the other one...
  20. And not so awesome photography skillz. True... I was in a hurry!
  21. OK everyone! Just finished my adapter for two controllers and it works great with the PSXPad drivers. I had a bit of trouble at first, but I fixed it by changing the preferred gaming device to the second controller and both controllers started to work. Here are the quick diagrams I made in Photoshop: One player: http://imagehost.astromike.com/uploaded/1playernes.jpg Two players: http://imagehost.astromike.com/uploaded/2playernes.jpg And the adapters: One player: http://imagehost.astromike.com/uploaded/nesadapter001.jpg http://imagehost.astromike.com/uploaded/nesadapter002.jpg Two players: http://imagehost.astromike.com/uploaded/nesadapter003.jpg http://imagehost.astromike.com/uploaded/nesadapter004.jpg My awesome soldering skillz: http://imagehost.astromike.com/uploaded/nesadapter005.jpg I took out the connectors from the NES and soldered them on here because I didn't want to do anything to the controllers yet. I'm going to get a box and make it look nice soon!
  22. Hehe... I use PSXPad as the driver... Its the only one that I got working properly... I'll make up a diagram for 1 controller with a pic and then for 2 controller with a pic... There is no need for any diodes... I tried using a NES controller with the parallel port and I only used one point for power... Works fine... The whole thing cost me $0... Just ripped an old printer cable apart! Thank god for the Dremel! Cleaned the glue off that thing! http://www.ece.utexas.edu/~tabony/snestopc/
  23. Haha... Success! Playing NES games on the computer with a NES controller... What could be better!? Its an ugly looking connector, but it works! Just ripped a printer cable apart and soldered the wires.
  24. That's some screwed up story...
  25. Looks OK to me...
