  1. Ditto that. Or you can also call up Microsoft and tell them you are reinstalling it because you got a virus or something...
  2. Save the following file and replace it during your unattended install: c:\windows\system32\wpa.dbl
  3. Does anyone else have event 1006 in their system event logs as an error with the hacked file?
  4. Oh man, that's the best!
  5. I hate it when people say that... Most of the time it confuses me!
  6. Just a reminder... There ARE people of the female sex on this forum!
  7. Welcome to MSFN! I'm 15 as well...
  8. If you use this and have NTFS as your file system, be aware that all your private files WILL be deleted once you blank your password using this utility!
  9. Will it? How can we test/know before then? Turning system clock ahead & rebooting did not expire our installation... thaNX Check the EULA? It usually says...
  10. If anyone is wondering what it says:
  11. Well, I just decided to take a quick look at my Event Viewer and noticed a whole bunch of errors... They were all the same with event 1006. I'm guessing that this is either because someone is port scanning me, or because someone that thinks they are smart and know my password are trying to access my computer via Remote Desktop. Oh yeah, I have SP2, with the hacked termsrv.dll file. Could this have anything to do with it? I'm just curious to know... Its not like I'm gonna track down whoever's doing this and send them to jail!
  12. That's not possible, unless you used a DVD or just put Office 2003 on a seperate CD... OR you used some kind of "hocus pocus", but I doubt that will happen!
  13. Its ebd.cab! I usually use Windows PE, but mine doesn't have the format utility for some reason!
  14. I don't know about other products but mcafee picks up virus in the restore point. So does Norton Anti-Virus 2003... The last time I checked, it found a few in the System Restore files...
  15. Same as Tokugawapants, but I like Pepsi and Canada Dry!
  16. I have it too, but it should actually say this instead:
  17. Glad I could help!
  18. Oh, that movie! Its been a while since I installed XP, so I guess I forgot about it...
  19. I'm guessing you have a router, since you have a LAN. Maybe your router or DHCP server is having a hard time assigning an IP address to your computer. Just something to check out!
  20. Its the same process, you just have one DVD instead of two CDs... Just follow the tutorial for one CD, but put it all on one DVD and you should be fine! Also, for Multi-Boot DVDs: http://flyakite.msfnhosting.com/
  21. net user ASP.NET /delete OR net user "ASP.NET" /delete Maybe that will help. It removes the ASP.NET account. You would have to run in one of your batch files somewhere, probably with adding new users! Try either one and see which one works...
  22. Is it that question mark swirling right after XP boots up for the first time?
  23. Maybe this is your problem: [Unattended] UnattendMode=FullUnattended OemSkipEula=Yes OemPreinstall=No TargetPath=\WINDOWS OemPreinstall=Yes UnattendSwitch="yes" FileSystem=* You have OemPreinstall TWICE. One with YES, and one with NO. Maybe it is just ignoring it altogether!
  24. What movie? There is no movie that runs during setup... The only things close enough that I would think that you are talking about is the point where XP checks to see if you have Internet access and sets up your usernames (if you're not doing an unattended install or you just want it there) or the Windows XP Tour.
  25. Nothing beats iTunes!
