  1. I've used it since 1.3 i believe. Ran it for a few years on an old K6-233 with 64MB ram and a 80 gig drive, no probs whatsoever. Makes for an easy to config and reliable server/gateway. Very easy to set up and samba works like a dream for file sharing. Only bad thing is it doesnt support dial up modems.

  4. I'm guessing it's just in the wrong place. She's not nude and not sticking that carrot anywhere inappropriate so as far as i can figure it's probably just someone taking pics of their kid in an artistic way and posted in the wrong area? I dunno tho I've taken pictures of my kids eating before and it never crossed my mind of that being adult in nature. I have an awesome pic of my daughter eating (destroying really) her first birthday cake.. messy messy.. and if someone finds that sexual then something is VERY wrong
  5. I'd go with the canon myself. Sony is overpriced and usually has less of a feature set than a camera by a different company for the same price.
  6. Shouldnt it be "is amd better than intel?" instead of "is amd is better than intel?"
  7. It's ok, I still like NFS:U 1 best of all other than NFS II SE which is old as the hills. I really wish they'd throw the burnout series on pc. I had so much fun with 3 but revenge was a total dissapointment. I agree with ripken tho, it's too much like a movie. At least it's not all comic book like in nfsu2 :/
  8. are you playing M$'s solitare or something else like solsuite? If the later then there are such games as 2 and 4 deck klondike which would have more than one ace of each suite.
  9. OS/2 doesnt play nice with vmware. I tried it couple years ago and never got it running. Search vmware's site for the info.

  13. Since everyone is talking about cases here we go: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16811221001 http://www.masscool.com/masscool/Product.aspx?ID=211 If i could afford it I'd buy that. Wouldnt have to worry about having alot of loud fans then. @dirtwarrior that HSPC Tech Station is awesome. I'll be ordering one for my test area
  14. If i'm not mistaken thats a pretty common thing to happen to the 360's. They overheat and i remember hearing about some guy suing M$ over it. Try putting a box fan or an oscilating fan blowing on the xbox. That should help some.
  15. adding my single drive for backups and stuff into the raid controller as JBOD Wait...so there was only one drive in the JBOD "array"? You probably won't lose anything then since it probably just wrote to it as a normal drive. For future reference when you attach a single drive to a RAID controller you usually set it up as a "single drive stripe array"...in RAID0 mode. Yes it's the only drive in JBOD, It didnt do anything to it when i set it up. I was asked to clear data but i chose no and my partitions were still there. Just for curiositys sake i moved the drive to a sata port that wasnt on the raid and it was detected in the bios and windows, everything was there still. I'm assuming as long as i be extra careful in the raid bios not to clear the data everything will be ok, I have backups in case though. I tried like you said yesterday to set it up as a single stripe array in raid0 but it kept asking for another drive to add to it, Spanning (JBOD) was the only one that'd let me add the single drive along with the 2 i have already in stripe. Guess thats just weirdness with nvidia raid but i have no idea, I'm still a n00b when it comes to raid.
  16. Well i decided to try raid0 again and adding my single drive for backups and stuff into the raid controller as JBOD was the only way i could find around having to open my case up and pull the plug every time i install xp so it'll install everything on the stripe and not try to put boot files on the single drive. I dunno why windows has to be gay like that :/ Thats the only reason for the JBOD.
  17. At least someone found a use for the thing. I never liked it when it was popular on nes.
  18. If i have a drive in JBOD on a raid controller would i lose data if i move it to just a plain sata port or another computer?
  19. Dont enable eax or buy a cheap audigy if you need to have eax. I've never had much luck with onboard sound and hw acceleration, uses too much cpu and causes games to run slower.
  20. I think he means ribbon cable of some sort. @racinjason88: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BIOS
  21. I didnt figure they'd need drivers other than for the motherboard you are using. They are seen just as a standard hard drive hooked to the sata port so if you have 2 in raid then you'd only need your motherboard's raid drivers i.e NVRaid so i'm pretty sure they'd work flawless in xp64
  22. I was using optimal for the stripe in the raid bios then used 64k stripe same sluggish speed either way, and i dunno what the cluster size was, i guess whatever xp decided it should be at the format prompt. I'd try it again but i've already placed the 2 80gig drives i bought for raid in my mac and an external enclosure so I'll just stick with what i got now. I didnt like having to load those raid drivers every time i reinstalled xp either. intergrating them works ok but still it's such a pain for frequent reinstalls having to open the case and unhook the drives you DONT have in raid otherwise it'll mess everything up and wont boot right :/
