It's been well over the 200 hours mentioned on the site before you start to notice temps dropping. My idle temps went from 27-30C to 21-23C and i'd like to keep it that way and I'm just wondering will the paste eventually dry out and have to be reapplied again or will it be fine as it is?

Slax popcorn edition should fit on a business card. It's only 111mb. The standard slax is the larger distro, I recommended that as the OP said he wanted to use kde and such with more apps. DSL only has fluxbox last I checked but it's simple and has more than usually needed, i just wish it supported nvidia lan. EDIT: Also try FeatherLinux http://featherlinux.berlios.de/

It's safe in theory but there is always some risk involved in things like that. Worst case could be power loss half way through the process and you have to hard format and lose everything. Best thing just to back everything important up before you convert.

I paid 20 dollars for the real guide from ebgames so i have a nice thick book i can look at without having to alt-tab I bought the one for morrowind as well. it's all worn out and the cover is almost torn completely off heh

Amazing indeed. I love how right at dusk when it's all orangeish and then it starts to fade to night, thousands of stars... and the two moons... it just has to be seen to enjoy @glent It's really all down to personal prefrence really. I've played though morrowind several times starting new games and i always find it's best to use imperial or dark elf (dunmer). Never really cared to be nord as they get knocked down too easy (poor starting agility) or wood elf and I've avoided being argonian and kajhit right off due to not being able to use helmets and boots. Things may be different in oblivion though i haven't checked.

Yeah, I had the game crash on me once last night turning slightly to the left after coming out of a house, apparently it was a sound iddue, but the SB Live cards are said to be excluded from the list of problematic cards, the Audigy's and so forth. eh? I'm using an Audigy 1 and have had no problems whatsoever with sound. Maybe a driver update would help? Also has anyone else noticed how different it is when it storms in oblivion than from morrowind? Some of the storms seem to get rather severe and the thunder is believeable now. Thunder always sounded so fake in morrowind

Added it in and did a fresh install. Looked in system properties now my cpu reads at 992mhz. Everything like firefox takes a bit to load now. Is this normal? I'm starting to wonder why this driver even exists.

it does need more skins, but i have looked around for inspiration to make one, but i havent found one i like better than the iXMPlay skin. screenshot of ixmplay Using that exact skin now. I was digging through my old games and decided to play unreal for a while. Loaded up the cd and installed fine. Setup all my options and when i go to play it's like its on crack or something. Everything is superfast like on 30x turbo. I checked my framerates with fraps and i'm getting almost 400fps with the Direct3D renderer. OpenGL reneder just crashes back to the desktop, same with software. I have unreal gold too and it just does the same thing. Anyone else had this happen and know how to fix it?

I get 28-45 outside and 37-80 inside according to fraps (version 2.7.2) using 1024x768x32 with hdr and nvidia driver version 81.98. 84.25 gave me too many problems. The game put the settings at very high on first run and i havent messed with any. Only lags here and there mostly when loading area and when i get into a heavy battle with 3 or more people.

Try looking in the event viewer for any errors, sounds like some driver or service hung waiting for input.

I only have a single core cpu and I dont play any dual core games that i know of. Havent had nothing crash on me yet so i'm guessing i dont need it?

Not sure if this is in the right place but I'm wondering if the athlon 64 driver thats on amd's site and abit's site is really needed at all? I installed it long time ago but it seemed to make my pc sluggish and run slow and a friend of mine said that the cool'n'quiet option in the bios wouldnt mean anything unless I installed the driver is xp, so is this true or what? Should i add this to my nlite cd and use it from now on to make sure the cool'n'quiet works right or just go without it?

Talk about being lazy eh? lol best bet would be to either invest in a laptop or get a big screen HD tv and hook your computer up to that. Also if you google around and hit ebay up you can find those little wireless messenger things that tried to be popular couple years ago really cheap. They are kinda like a blackberry except just for IM.
