  1. my cpu stays at 27C idle and 41C load using a thermaltakecl-p0200, info @ http://www.thermaltake.com/coolers/cl-p020...39/cl-p0200.htm System stays at 32C with 2 antec 120mm fans. My hard drives are at 34C for the top and 37C for the bottom one. My geforce 6800GS idles at 42C dunno what it gets to on full load, just got it this morning and havent checked

  3. geezus where is that from? NORAD? lol
  4. George Edward First and Middle name
  5. Try PacketMon and NetStat Live http://www.analogx.com/contents/download/network.htm
  6. Indeed. Just like most cig comapnies i guess. Make it look cool till you get sucked in and die. And yeah i'll take those thin sata cables over those bulky ribbons any day. Thanks for the help!
  7. Yeah i expected more. I really wasnt worried till i caught a glimpse of the "LBA 133" at post and that freaked me out. I was expecting it to be 150 and the burst rates to be right at that as well. On tests I get 68.7 sustained speed vs my old segate that got maybe 50 go i guess thats good.
  8. Did speed tests with the nvidia speed test thing on the driver pane in device manager and it never gets over 128 burst rate. In HD Tach it's right there with a standard ATA 133 drive. I updated the bios couple days ago to the 20 from abit's site. The drive's model # is ST3250823AS and supports NCQ which i havent noticed any improvment from. My Motherboard brand is Abit and the Type be AN8 Fatal1ty (NON SLI) with the 6.70 nforce drivers installed.
  9. Wow you must be pretty quick! Oblivion came out yesterday (March 20th in U.S). I goofed and didnt preorder and when i went to pick it up it was sold out everywhere. gamestop and eb games had nothing so i preordered from newegg. God knows when i'll get it
  10. I just got a seagate 250gb SATA150 drive today and the problem is it's only detected and runs at ata133 speeds. wtf is with that shouldnt it be 150? even it the bios it's detected as LBA 133. Did i just get ripped off?
  11. 5 computers here. One my wife uses, another my daughter uses, 1 for ipcop, and then my pc and imac
  12. Agreed. Morrowind IMO is the best game ever. I have ordered up an evga geforce 6800 GS just to be sure i can play oblivion seeing thats the recommended. Still curious to see how well it does for others
  13. Anyone gotten this game yet? I'm curious how good or bad it runs on different hardware. I've read the requirements but I wanted to hear from real tests how it runs.
  14. awesome thanks! I wish M$ would make that the default
  15. Every time i open windows explorer (NOT Internet Explorer) It defaults to opening my douments cascaded and this takes a bit seeing i have tons of stuff in my docs, this has plauged me for a long time and i never bothered to ask about it.. My question is how do i make this default to C:\ or something other than My Documents without doing a bunch of work like shortcuts and stuff. A simple reg file would suffice Title Edited - Please follow new posting rules from now on. --Zxian
  16. Couldnt post in the poll because of the hate one. I use firefox but i dont hate the other 3. I like opera but it just doesnt have what i use and need. IE is great altho buggy and i've used for years before switching to netscape and then eventually to mozilla. Ended up with firefox just because the extensions can't be beat + I can back EVERYTHING up with MozBackup to a small file on my thumbdrive for reinstalls
  17. Dude thanks seriously, I've been looking for a virtual floppy for a while and never found one and gave up and this works great, Thanks!
  18. Maybe give sunbird a try http://www.mozilla.org/projects/calendar/sunbird.html
  19. Nice setup. I like how you have the fire extinquisher there in case the computer catches fire heh
  20. Lota pix, nice sweet rig! Post your specs!
  21. Does it keep data on power off like a real solid state drive or is it just an expensive ram disk? If it keeps data I just might have to pick 2 of those up and make a sweet sata raid array just for a system disk
  22. Antec Super Lanboy Thermaltake 430W Athlon64 3400+ 2.2ghz @ 2.4ghz Corsair 2x512mb PC3200 Dual Channel Abit AN8 Fatal1ty Geforce 6500 256mb PCIE Pioneer DVR-111D Seagate 80gb ATA100 Seagate 160gb ATA100 Seagate 200gb SATA150 M$ Keyboard & Logitech MX1000 Lazer mouse XP Pro SP2
  23. I'd suggest reading http://www.windowsnetworking.com/
  24. And where might one obtain these? Do they work on audigy cards as well? Only better drivers I've found are the kX project (Minus EAX support in games) @ http://kxproject.lugosoft.com/index.php?skip=1 @Chozo4: Agreed on the midi part. Hardware wavetable is so much better than emulated and software synth. @computerMan: Use the sound blaster. if you play any games at all you'll love the EAX Onboard sound that claims to have EAX are buggy and crappy compared to the real thing. Also make sure you download the latest drivers from creative's site instead of the cd (if you recived one). Creative packs way TOO MUCH crapware that installs from cd. @nmX.Memnoch: It's a SB PCI 16. Can be purchased online around $7.00 USD "Sound Blaster 16Bit PCI CT4740 Creative SB 16 PCI 3D audio and multi-channel support"
  25. AGP or PCI Express all the way. Intergrated graphics suck mostly. Only good intergrated graphics I've seen are nforce 410 and 430 chipsets (Geforce 6100 & 6150). The 6100 and 6150 graphics run pretty dang well for 3d games. Better than my radeon 9600 pro if that says anything
