  1. 2nd reason why no items are installed: #COMPUTERNAME# is your top config, so it's the default. none of your items is linked to that config. so no item is installed do as suggested in my previous reply (post #8) and remove the two unused config lines.
  2. its a parameter if it's not spelled correctly.. XPlode can't understand it.. just like any other program.
  3. heh..... you're quicker than me... I posted my reply.. and then edited to what it reads now.. I didn't need your display tags afterall read the previous post for the solution. Also you might want to remove the <config>#COMPUTERNAME#</config> <config>---</config> lines... since you don't use these. and #COMPUTERNAME# is now your default config.
  4. you have config="P430" but should be configs="P430"
  5. can you post what's between your <display plugin='#XPLODE#\XPlodeSelectInstall.x4d'> and </display> tags and one of your items? And have a look in your log if there are any "out-of-the-ordinary" messages there. when the selection display comes on screen are there any items selected?
  6. [deleted] never mind
  7. Usually these vendors use SysPrep. But is this what you want?
  8. I'm guessing you are using the XPlodeSelectInstall.x4d plugin? you should use the configs tag, for items to show up under a specific config. enclosed example: <execute display="Microsoft Office System 2003" desc="Installs Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, Powerpoint)" configs="HAILSTORM,AFTERSHOCK,MYSTIQUE,FAILSAFE"> <program>#XPLODE#\Office2003\pro11.msi</program> <arguments>TRANSFORMS=#XPLODE#\Office2003.MST /qb-</arguments> </execute>
  9. I cant find a way to disable the start menu completely. I have found a policy to allow only specified programs to run this may help. Regards Colin <{POST_SNAPBACK}> start: gpedit.msc goto: User Configuration > Administrative Templates > System and use Custom User Interface change it to iexplore. And instead of the explorer you usually get, you just have internet explorer. Once this is done, it can't be undone easaly! mind you in the addressbar they can type file:///c:/ and DOES work. adjust the rest of your policy's as needed.
  10. Yeah I noticed... they have a new policy infinity+1... wohoo... oh wait didn't I just say I wasn't gonna check this thread again... oh well...
  11. It really is an extremely nice program.. .But I think there is no point in posting here, you just have to be patient I guess.. GM probably has other things on his mind who knows what PERSONAL things are going on. I could give it to you but since the EULA clearly states so I'm not going to.. sorry
  12. @topduck and sameer2233 You both have an invite in your PM. @Others who want an invite please PM me for an invite ... I will probably not be checking this thread again!
  13. looks a bit like This Thread I don't think you can do that with the winnt.sif, what I can suggest is make the autopartition 0 and do it manually.
  14. That's owkay... you're only trying to help right ?
  15. half full lol or
  16. I believe this is the 3rd time I've seen a thread like this one...
  17. Shell Object Editor Make your own shell objects... like My documents etc.
  18. short for Network Interface Card.... or just your network card
  19. drive manager or whatever it's called in english... I'm at work so I'm on a dutch desktop.... Right Click My Computer, Click Manage.. should be there somewhere, above services.. can't remember the english names But a yellow Icon is never good.. try to remove it in safe mode.. or maybe it's conflicting with something... seen this before, it was conflicting with an outdated NIC... took the NIC out.. redetect went successful... reinsert the NIC and they both worked...
  20. Does it show up in your drive manager, and does it have a drive letter assigned to it?

  24. indeed... or stick it where it's deep and dark... aka where the sun don't shine!
  25. I believe Trillian has it in it's client, it's called rendevouz. I don't know if it's in the free version. Trillian Novell has a messenger in their e-mail system, but since you use microsoft, I doubt you are going to switch OS-es just for LAN-IM
