    New Version

Just helping to outnumber the ... others worked like a charm here! WinXP NLD thanks again!
  3. ACDZip can do just that.
  4. uhm nope, didn't try that.. But doesn't the home installer use an .inf instead of an .ini? don't have the time to test it anytime soon.. Might work tough
  5. That's only for the PRO version. I'm talking about the HOME version.
  6. for those who dont like to search: http://forum.avast.com/index.php?board=2;a...y;threadid=8467 They also state there that silent install for Home is not supported. this is my way: run setup.exe /SILENT /SP- /NORESTART and use the dos tool iniedit to modify the settings in the avast4.ini but not the license number maybe it can be done with the inf file... but the only settings I know for that are [Setup] Lang=default Dir=c:\Program Files\Alwil Software\Avast4 Group=Avast! Antivirus NoIcons=0 Components= using AutoIt script for now...
  7. I am aware that those switches are for a silent installation. But it doesn't enter the registration number for me (and probably kurt) (Home edition for me)
  8. I think kurt476 tries to install it silent AND have avast registered at the same time. I dunno if there is a way to silently put the serial in the app. But if there is I'm REALLY interested!
  9. As far as I know it doesn't exist. try typing SET in your command prompt.. it shows all your environment variables, both custom and system. You can however define one for yourself: SET system=%systemroot%\system32 but then again, maybe %system% is a reserved name...

    Thank you

Absolutely not alone!!! happy user here too... thanks man!
  11. GM's method worked fine for me... just make sure you use 8.3 format for the dir you are running the batch in....
  12. GM, is your solution here going to be automated in the next version of XPCREATE?
  13. Removing the WMC also removes the warning/error. WMP 10 installs fine.
  14. krismark You can add the following to your list: SVC-X2M => langpack.exe (language pack for .NET, for those who need it )
  15. It works for me too, including the language pack in the usual SVC-X2M directory
  16. Still I don't see the addition of extra security here... copy a random scr file in the dir modify the reg et voilà there you have it. no need to modify a scr. deleting a scr will not result in programs not working, a dll or an ocx will.
  17. No Prob here! I believe you, but what good is one's word if it's too late
  18. I think it's because of the way windows works. If you dump a .scr file in the windows directory it's listed in the drop down. Windows uses just the filename because all screensavers are placed in the windows dir. if you provide a full path I think it sees this as an extra screen saver. namely "c:\windows\foo.scr" and "foo.scr" seeing c:\windows\foo.scr as a filename instead of a full path.
  19. Whoopsy sorry taking the site down as soon as I get home.. GM informed me of this earlier.
  20. Kirby ahw so sweeeet
  21. WTF ??
  22. Welcome.. hope your skills come in handy here!
  23. Here's a list of Removed for the dutch XP Pro version using XPCreate Link Removed by Alanoll; Glowy, you violated the EULA. Not distributing XPCREATE or it's files.
  24. Look at my site for placement of hotfixes. they all work! Link Removed Link Removed by Alanoll; Glowy you violated the EULA of XPCREATE. No distributing it or it's files. If they need to know where the files go, they could easily check GM's website
