  1. checking the dynamic list won't hurt http://users.telenet.be/tc76/winup/_winxpsp2.html I see a lot of obsolete updates in the HF floder
  2. Can you post your hfslip.log here so we can get a look at your files in HF
  3. But, how can it be that when the update is installed, browseui.dll is still at the "old" version (6.0.2900.3020) and hfnetchk still complains, but WU doesn't complain ??? What file is WU checking? any way to check what WU is checking to see if an update is installed or not? edit: did a check, no files are updated (files are already at version level 7.0.6000.16414, only some registry keys, checking now on a clean install if importing these keys is enough to have WU stop complaining Edit2: nope just the reg key didn't work And When not slipstreaming, but installing at T-13 there is no problem, so there are multiple problems here.. (The WU and the hfnetchk problem) - hfnetchk always complains about browseui.dll wheter IE7 is installed manually, slipstreamed or installed at T-13 (I don't think browseui.dll is part of the WU problem, this is no serious problem only cosmetic when running hfnetchk) - WU complains about KB928090 only when IE7 is slipstreamed (So I do think hfslip has something to do with it, as I said before: browseui.dll is always the "older" version when installing IE7 + hotfixes no matter what method is used) so let's drop the browseui.dll issue, and look further at the WU problem.
  4. weird.... even when only including SP2, IE7 and IE7 patches, WU still comes up with KB928090. IE still hangs at 100% when starting from start menu. HFSLIP.LOG: HFSLIP Version - 70301a HFSLIP Path - C:\HFSLIP\ OS in SOURCESS - XP SP2 Dutch Drivers - DRIVER.CAB Updated CD Install Path - Default CDTAG - WIN51 =============================================================================== Files in your FIX folder: winnt.sif Files in your HF folder: IE7-KB928090-WindowsXP-x86-nld.exe IE7-KB929969-WindowsXP-x86-nld.exe IE7-WindowsXP-x86-nld.exe WindowsXP-KB835935-SP2-NLD.exe WindowsXP-KB928255-x86-NLD.exe Files in your HFCABS folder: Files in your HFSVCPACK folder: Files in your HFSVCPACK_SW folder: Files in your HFGUIRUNONCE folder: Files in your HFTOOLS folder: bbie.exe bbie.lic BOOT.BIN CDIMAGE.EXE cmdow.exe cygwin1.dll extract.exe HFANSWER.INI mkisofs.exe modifyPE.exe =============================================================================== HFSLIP run time: 10m59s After letting WU install the update everything works fine, when starting IE from startmenu the question for enable-ing phisingfilter comes up. browseui.dll still at 6.0.2900.2995 so this file has nothing to do with IE7 not working properly. After this did a new install with the same source, and installed KB928090 manually same result no problems. Still confused.. and still want IE7 hotfixes slipstreamed any help would be appreciated.
  5. I noticed that too... trying to figure out where it came from right now... I don't get it.. IE7 package contains browseui.dll version 6.0.2900.2995 but none of the updates contains the expected 6.0.2900.3059, but is included in the KB928090 update for ie6
  6. OK so IE7SVCPACK has nothing to do with it. but: Tried with 70228b still the same.. even cleaned out everything not on the dynamic list. still no go. redownloaded the patch no change when starting IE7 it does a runonce.. hangs at 100% cpu when going directly to a url or windows update no problem. hfnetchk: * WINDOWS XP SP2 Patch NOT Installed MS07-016 928090 File C:\WINDOWS\system32\browseui.dll has a file version [6.0.2900.2995] that is less than what is expected [6.0.2900.3059]. tried with 1.3.1 => no problem. Why will it not slipstream
  7. maybe Tommyp or Tomcat76 can say something about that. and what method to use. Edit: the new WindowsXP-KB905474-ENU-x86-Standalone.exe works, and no WU thanks for that, but the cummulative IE7 patch (KB928090) still shows up on WU
  8. Now I'm confused... when setting the option IE7SVCPACK=1 HFSLIP installs IE7 at T-13 instead of slipstreaming (right?) so how can you be slipstreaming IE7 when you have the IE7SVCPACK=1 option set? Sure when I set the option it works for me too, but then it wouldn't be slipstreamed but installed at T-13 (right?)
  9. Yes I removed that option.. otherwise it would install at T-13 intead of slipstream into the source (or am I wrong here?)
  10. Trying that one atm. but still doesn't explain the KB928090 update, and the fact it works well when not slipstreaming, but using the IE7SVCPACK=1 option
  11. KB905474 isn't available in Dutch, as far as I know it's only available in english and when using the same source and using IE7SVCPACK=1 WU doesn't complain.
  12. I've got one for ya. when slipstreaming IE7 with hfslip-70226a, and run WU I still have to install 2 updates (KB905474 and KB928090) when using the same source and using IE7SVCPACK=1 WU doesn't complain. WinXP Pro NL HFSLIP.LOG.TXT
  13. already posted 5 posts ago. and no, it does not mean the end of StartX/MsiStub (also already posted)
  14. that's true.. I bluntly copy pasted it. it works, just not for msiexec
  15. I don't know if anyone noticed, but the config.txt also has an other syntax: ID_String="Value" Title: Title for messages BeginPrompt: Begin Prompt message Progress: Value can be "yes" or "no". Default value is "yes". RunProgram: Command for executing. Default value is "setup.exe". Substring %%T will be replaced with path to temporary folder, where files were extracted Directory: Directory prefix for "RunProgram". Default value is "..\\" ExecuteFile: Name of file for executing ExecuteParameters: Parameters for "ExecuteFile" You can omit any values. Example: ;!@Install@!UTF-8! Title="7-Zip 4.42" BeginPrompt="Do you want to install 7-Zip 4.42?" ExecuteFile="msiexec.exe" ExecuteParameters="/i 7zip.msi REINSTALL=ALL REINSTALLMODE=vomus" ;!@InstallEnd@!
  16. 1. It's just a simulated install, so no, this will not affect performance, even if a mistake was made in the script 2. correct, and the only problem was the desktop/quicklaunch icons, this is corrected 3. uhm... while checking I noticed that $SOpt1 = "y"; isn't used further in the script, so it doesn't do anything maybe salawinder removed it already?? 4. shortcuts are now removed by the script. The scripts are not mine but from salawinder, I'm just helping out. The thing changed is that the icon's (desktop and quicklaunch) are no longer enabled/disabled by mouseclicks, but by removing the .lnk files after the install. The "mistake" was that the final setup screen is dynamic, dependent of the selected features. the autorun part is untouched in the last script, and might/might not work, depending on the selected features. It is best to remove it from the script I think, but this is not done yet. and there are a few cosmetic changes. The embarrasing part was that I left the serialnumber in one of the scripts. hope this helps..
  17. You are very welcomeI have no problem with it, if someone wants it, we can do it by registry And then Ahead will release another pain in the a**
  18. No needfind edited scripts attached Also replaced the lines containing $OptX ="n" Or $OptX = "N"with StringUpper( $OptX ) = "N" Nero7.au3 Nero7nld.au3
  19. This is because when selecting certain options tab's are removed/added in the final screen.I think its better when QL icon is set to N to remove the .lnk file afterwards than to simulate mouseclicks, because it would become too complicated.
  20. Whoopsie removed, script replaced. great work on the menu icon! now lets have a look at that QL icon.... no idea how to do it yet, the selection screen is dynamic based on your feature selection.
  21. cmdlines.txt goes in the root folder of $OEM$ so you CD would look like this: X:\$OEM$\cmdlines.txt
  22. Well that was easy... just add an extra line RunWait('regsvr32 /u /s "' & @CommonFilesDir & '\Ahead\Lib\NeroSearchBar.dll"') Changing and testing script now. Edit: that worked! after the reboot the toolbar is gone. Now to get that icon out of the way, not so simple as I was thinking in the first place. The menufolder is named different with each version of nero (enterprise, Ultra, etc.) Ideas anyone?
  23. Owkay here are the scipts, I also edited the script from salawinder to make it the same. So both scripts are the latest posted bij salawinder with added features. in the english version there is a part commented out (lines 269-174) this is to hide the installation screen, I don't know the text displayed in that english box. now to find a (probably) regtweak to remove the neroscout from the systray. And remove the Icon. Wich is only a FileDelete ("path to .lnk") statement I guess, so since that's not to hard I'm going to see if I can find a way to remove that nero scout from the systray. Scripts removed, they are replaced
  24. This is because the .DLL file is unregitered at the tweaks section. The script made by BoardBabe used the public properties of the MSI wich 7.2.0.3 doesn't seem to accept anymore, that made it possible to make it completely silent (and shorter). Now we have to simulate an install to make it automated instead of silent. There are a few screens that can be hidden (in the new script this is an option) ** And if you don't want to use the script, you can also open up the installer with WinRar and edit the Redist\Config\conf.txt file, and repack it, changing the comment to: Setup=Setupx.exe TempMode Silent=1 Overwrite=1 Title=Nero 7 Ultra Edition and run it with the /qn switch But still there's the Nero Scout problem ** @salawinder I'm going to make a final test run and then post my version. BTW the hiding of the screens is done like the script made by BoardBabe (copy/paste )
  25. I replaced the lines MouseClick ( "left" , 266 , 271 , 1 , 1 ); Page down to get to next optionsto Send (" {PGDN 2} "); Page down to get to next options At the product selection section, because the scrolling in the list didn't seem to work. And changed the sortorder (maybe this is just for the dutch installer). Tools is named Extra and placed before NeroImageDrive The click for Nero ImageDrive should be a bit higer because there are only 2 options available. I also added the option to add name and companyname, if these values are empty they are left default. And added an option to hide the unpacking screen. I can post the edited script if requested. But I think it's better to let salawinder keep the script, and do the changes Ohw and almost forgot: thanks for the script salawinder, this will keep me (and others) going!
