  1. Ok, i checked your script, and everything is fine there, obviously i couldn't understand the error message (the image you attached above) as its in some other language. Try this and am pretty sure it will work. download universal extractor version 1.6beta, and extract the "msi installer" and then run the file extracted "EAV.msi /qb" to start the setup EDIT: It should be "ESS.msi /qb" NOT EAV as its smart security
  2. upload your full autoit script files EXCEPT your eset application and License info, i will have a look and see, i guess i know why it runs from desktop and not from anywhere else...
  3. what zip file your talking about?
  4. msiexec.exe /i ess_nt32_nld.msi /qb
  5. Try restoring your BIOS default settings, (Before Restoring, make sure you note or backup your current BIOS settings)
  6. Thanks, but i wanted to run the script only at RunOnce in first logon, eg, "WPI" on first logon after installation. It works fine on vista when i place a "cmd" file on $oem$ folder, but not on server.. am sure there is a way, but can't seem to figure it out..
  7. is there such a folder "logon folder" to place a batch file to get it running?
  8. No, still does not work.. the first thing i get on first logon is to create a password after that its the normal desktop, no batch or cmd files run..
  9. Thanks, will try that, never used the "bat" extension before, its always been "cmd"
  10. Hi I took my Sidebar folder from my Vista x64 DVD iso, to Server 2008 X64 and registered the "dll's" and sidebar.exe" everything works fine, except for the clock and few other gadgets dont show properly. My main concern is the clock, it shows all black.. Does anybody know how to fix this.. i have seen people using sidebar on server x64 (some other sites), with clock showing normal the way its on vista.. please help me here Thank you Edit: Fixed now, i was running the commands using "regsrv" it should be "regserver"
  11. Hi i want to run a CMD file , which has reg tweaks and silent install application switches. It works on vista by placing a cmd file in "sources\$OEM$\setup\scripts" folder, but in server 2008, how do i run a cmd file at first logon to apply my reg tweaks and setup my silent apps, i couldn't run WPI, or cmd files by placing it in $OEM$ on server DVD ISO. Does anybody know how to get cmd files running on first logon? Thanks
  12. Did you follow the instructions properly? what language version of server your using? (it must be en-US) Did you grab all the files from vista by running "get bda files.bat"? yes yes yes all went good, but the "regsvr32 ksxbar.ax" can't do this even manually can you tell me exactly names of files needed to register ksxbar.ax and kswdmcap.ax? (excluding theirselves of course and ksxbar.ax.mui and kswdmcap.ax.mui) Hi, after doing a clean install of server 2008 ent x64, i realized that "kstvtune.ax and ksxbar.ax" are not required to register, and it cant be registered as well. The whole point is that them 2 ax files needs to be present in syswow64 and system32 directory, so when you launch any tv applications it uses these 2 files for its purpose. They cant be registered even on vista, i tried registering, but it will not register as the whole point is your tv application to access these 2 files only for your tv app to work. Just run the "BDA.inf" from bda folder the directX 9 version, and restart to see if your tv card works, if it don't then the only solution i would recommend is do a clean install and run my setup pack. Hope this helps
  13. Thank you for this. btw can i use and install this on Server 2008 x64 edition? Edit: Sorry, i rushed it while reading the Microsoft installer page. Yes i can use it on server 2008 thanks

  18. Only Dreamscene version 2.0 works with server. Am using the free preview version downloaded from Stardock website. And yes the trick does not work on server, but it worked on other vista editions.
