  3. You are right. I had made several vlited attempts yesterday and independently zeroed on crash data report. A solution at last!
  4. I believe it is some sys driver file which is lost during vliting. I am trying to find dependency from full install of the OS.
  5. Yes, hybrid sleep is off. Shutdown menu has hibernate option I wanted to see some error, so I used cmd I get "The system cannot find the file specified.(2)" Hiberfil.sys is obviously present! btw, I get to see this message in cmd window only after log back. This cmd console is same which was used to run hibernation command! What I feel is it might be pointing out to some other dependency probably!
  6. I just reinstalled vista on my desktop. Used powercfg -h on Reboot Tried to hibernate using Shutdown /h What I got was : File not found Now which file is MIA.
  7. I have got the option of "hibernate" on my laptop, but clicking it just logs me off and brings me back to logon screen after a brief black screen, but nothing beyond that. This behaviour is there on the desktop too. A similar session on xp enables hibernation. This seems really funny! Can someone tell another dependency? Last_Session.ini
  8. I also have same problem on my Vaio. The laptop doesn't get hibernated, though I have checked all dependencies, vaio drivers etc. May be one of the unlisted dependency is to be blamed.
  9. Did you remove "Media Metadata Handler" under Multimedia component removal? If so, keep it.
  10. Link directs to another forum and you need to register to get the file! Can you post the file here?
  11. Adding reg files is a feature which I am also looking forward to. I want unattended folder relocation in vista and failing at it using many possible ways.
  12. Great update! Changelog is comprehensive. Thanks Kel!
  13. I seem to have lost option of running applications in "compatibility mode" for lower oses. The tab is missing from properties options of executables. Can someone tell me about the dependency which I might be missing out? Found it! "Error reporting" has to be selected! Last_Session.zip
  14. Thanks damian for keeping the friday promise! I was waiting for it and now I am off to new installation cd! ;-)
  15. That is a promising statement! Let's wait till friday.
  16. nuhi has already mentioned the method and I have used it using this method, no issues at all and no WAIK also.
  17. Unexpectedly new release! Comodo offered no option for unattended install and your release at this juncture is really appreciable. Thanks a lot!
  18. Yes, nlite is fully compatible with preintegrated sp3 xp cd.
  19. No! You can happily do it on XP. I might suggesting copying fresh vista source files and start afresh.
  20. Most of the themes for me are working, but a couple of themes don't work with sp3 patched sp3 uxtheme.dll.
  21. Great combination! Not interested in solid state drive?
  22. Welcome back! Your ideas and input are long awaited! Let's get it going with the new sp3 release.
  23. That's true! Gaming could be even better in xp (provided you don't intend to run directx 10 compatible games). But with server 2008 you might not be able to use vlite!
