You can either believe a lot of reviews that get paid off to have their product listed as the top, or you can listen to people with real world experience, etc. While it is true that Norton 2007 has improved, it hasn't gotten much better from their previous versions. Despite how Norton has tried to improve, I have had to repair things such as SSL, Norton firewall blocking issues when it was disabled, etc. We tried to fix it and then uninstalled Norton to prove it was the source of many issues. After using SymNRT to fully remove Norton, a reboot and everything the user reported as not working worked again.

I've had to fix a lot of computers that had Norton 2007 on them, 90% of the issues stemmed from Norton.

This is why many people advise others to avoid nLite. You're only setting yourself up for more problems than it's worth. Hard drive space is not an issue in this day and age, nor is RAM. A regular install of Windows works perfectly for every purpose needed.

Comodo 3 has been causing issues lately, so you may want to use 2.4 instead. Also if you are concerned about missing or corupt files, run sfc /scannow
