  1. Geez punto, how'd your sceen get so... slimy... ...on second thought, don't answer that!
  2. Unless you have physical recovery media, you should keep the recovery partition.
  3. You don't need to upgrade or uninstall. All you need is a new free home key.
  4. You can turn to the RyanVM Integrator or even make use of Autostreamer. You can also acquire driver packages from Bashrat the Sneaky's DriverPacks and for hotfixes and addons you can get RyanVM's UpdatePack.
  5. You could convert the drive to NTFS. Use this command: convert D: /fs:ntfs
  6. Jimbo, please reread my question again. I know you tried Dial-a-fix, but did you try using the SFC Purge and SFC Scan under the Tools section?
  7. In my honest opinion, most of the freeware programs outperform the payware.
  8. avast and Comodo Firewall Pro. Both free and work quite well.
  9. Have you tried using the SFC Purge and SFC Scan in Dial-a-fix Tools (hammer icon) section?

Unless you directly download it from Microsoft or an authorized Microsoft source, it is illegal. [ Closed ]
  13. Congratulations on your own subforum, nitro!
  14. Actually, if you're copying files from a NTFS to FAT system it's extremely slow. However if you're copying from NTFS to NTFS it's extremely fast. Try it sometime with a flash drive.
  15. Upgrading to 512MB of RAM will make everything run smoothly.
  16. You could always use c't Offline Updater to create and deploy a cd/dvd to update the machines in your office. They definitely need to be updated. Or you can wait until SP3 is released (which should be next month). Also, if your machine is the only one with Internet access, you could set up avast to download the definitions to your machine and then relay them across the network.
  17. Look into avast, they've got plenty of excellent plans and they have a nice detection rate too.
  18. Unless StopBadware has labeled the site as malicious in some form.
  19. Tracking cookies aren't malware and they can't do any harm to your computer. The most they can do is track a site you came from and went to. If you want to block them simply use Spybot's Immunization and SpywareBlaster.
  20. D_block, this is a forum and is intended for open discussions as long as everything abides by the forum rules. Anyone can offer their input so long as they do not violate forum rules.
  21. I wouldn't see any harm in it if you post it as follows so no one clicks a link in case there is something wrong with the website. h**p://example.com
  22. Martin, it might be his/her user agent string.
  23. Toshiba says it's just a rumor.
  24. Congrats dude! Off-topic: When I read this title, I was half-expecting something to be said about saving money by switching to Geico.
  25. What website(s) does this alert occur?
