Guys, it is possible to somewhat modify the monitor.inf file (or perhaps something else?) that the lowest offered resolution to switch Windows 2000 SP4 into is, like in XP, 800x600? I managed to setup the monitor.inf file I use to offer me highest 1024x768 resolution easily, just using the HKR,,MaxResolution,,"1024,768" - but can I adjust lowest resolution too? And how? My monitor.inf file now used:

I got a simple wish on my Win2k SP4. Okay, maybe more wishes, but let's start with this one. I want to disable the properties menu on the Recycle Bin. To do that, one need a (at least in theory) very simple register tweak: That is backed up by many sites on the net, like there: http://www.annoyances.org/exec/forum/win2000/t1187882607 And it is even backed up by very own M$ info: http://technet2.microsoft.com/windowsserve...3.mspx?mfr=true Now imagine my shock that this simply does NOT work for me. Anyone can explain/help me out there? However I also wished in the cursed Recycle Bin to get rid of the second useless menu, the one that goes "Create shortcut" ... And I did not find anything that can help me. Buy maybe someone do?

There is, actually, much easier solution w/o any hacking Simply use (Start-run) "Gpedit.msc" and check out the Desktop settings, you can set Active Desktop to disable there and that get you rid of the context menu. Other actions, even disabling the Active Desktop in TweakUI does not remove the menu
