All the younger people here are the best because they mix in well with all age groups and they are very knowledgable. Back in 1969 I took computer programming and data processing we were using IBM 360 tape drive behemouths.Needless to say I never finnished and went into the Army.Didn't pickup another interest until (not sure)1986 bought a Texas Instuments Ti-something.Then in 1993 Windows 3.1,Dos 6.22.Then I bought every Windows operating sys after that except ME.I am self taught in everything I know about computers.Hey maybe when I retire(won't be long)I can take some classes.

I'd rather spend your money than mine anyway.All kidding aside I believe it's time to upgrade my KVM to a 3 system version.Thanks LS.

I have the demo and it runs nice on my system.I,m asking my loved ones to get me the full game for Xmas instead of gloves and hats.

You can run that ATA133 at the speed it was made for but you have to buy a controller card.I have installed them and set them up on older mobo's and it is like putting in any card.You will probably have to disable the Primary IDE setting in bios to run it.

One thing that I do after the mobo is in is to use the antistatic sheets that either a mobo,modem,vid card came with.I use these to rest each add in card on for antistatic and anti abrasive protection.Do wear an antistatic wrist band as Drew said.I haven't cooked anything yet by this procedure.Use masking tape to label each startup lead wire(reset,led,power,etc).Easier to read that way.Make sure the arrow or #1 on each lead goes to the #1 pin on the board or corresponding connection.Likewise on all connections(FD,IDE,fans).You should take the CPU and memory off in addition to all your cards.Take notes,draw pictures,and take your time.Read your documentation in the mobo manual.If you don't have one go on line and download the file and print it out.Read Tinker's suggested "How to build a PC" site.Sound like alot? To most of us that have we can do these things a bit easier after researching and doing.Have fun.

Hey mat, Welcome to the forum.As previously mentioned there will be no cracks posted here.But I was just wondering who your isp is now?If you are paying why don't you switch over it's a good deal?I have an account with them and use it for both dial up and one way satellite.Although I can't use the satellite through MSN 7,it browses pretty fast.I will upgrade sometime soon t0o MSN8.Check around too,when I signed up I got $400 worth of hardware from Bestbuy.

LS,I have been using an older Protec KVM for about 4 or 5 yrs.I can use my mouse to switch between sytems by holding down both buttons and back dragging it,or pressing ctrl,alt enter,and either 1 or 2 for selecting the one I want.I like the button idea better though,because I have had problems while playing games like UT where because of all the "intense mousing"(sounds good huh),I got switched.I payed about $130 for it back then how much was your Lynksys?I may sell the one I have and upgrade,anyone interested?

This is an honest to God true personal story.My second wife came home one day with both front and rear bumpers bent in the down position.My step daughter was laughing,but her mother was not.I asked my wife what happened but she did not want to discuss it right then and there.My step daughter,then 14 yrs. old and still laughing was more than willing to tell me of the incedent.She said,her mother was backing into a parking space and the space was about 3/4 of the car,s length,and to allow for more space she pushed the car behind her a little until she was in and then pushed the car in front of her a little and then the car behind her etc.Oy!

Listen,the large corporation I work for making a wh opping 20.8% profit margin (national average between 7% and 10%)a few months back threatened to close the doors if we(International union)didn,t open our contract with a year left and give them concessions.For men and women to work we negotiated nearly $10,000/yr. per person cut.These large corporations always cry poor and have their hand out,the RIAA and rich artists with gold spoons are same,same.

aKa,same thing on my laptop and an Elite mobo I installed.If the network card is built in it will always be recognized by the bios.Does an icon with a red x show in the device manager?Or is it always enabled?Also,your board came with a cd setup,look for some documentation on the lan card.There may be drivers you can load which will make it operational,hence no red x in the device manager.
