  1. Anyone might have an idea what went wrong? I did not remove anything compared to my previous image - yet there is no monitor in device manager and when I navigate to the settings via desktop properties, I see greyed out "generic monitor". I don't like it much... Of course it works, but the monitor driver exists for a reason, no?
  2. Long story short: Is it REQUIRED for ANY functionality?
  3. You don't even have to install WinRAR, just copy the directory from someone/somewhere, run it and set file associations.
  4. Personally I would say OS is not in useable state until SP1 is out
  5. If you were bothered to read, he said he doesn't have time for development currently.
  6. uh-huh... lol o'rly?
  7. Only that I am talking about installation of the system, not boot...
  8. What do you mean?
  9. I don't quite get the thread title, NOD32 IS an antivirus. I dislike v3 too, but it still IS good one, so... It's much more complex than v2, so no surprise it's bigger, more resources-hungry etc.... But there barely is something that'd do the job better.
  10. I would reply something not very nice along the lines of UTFS you <censored>, but then I would risk getting banned, so I will just swallow it and move over...
  11. There are people out there who try to install 32bit drivers on 64bit system? :-o
  12. Uh, what mouse and keyboard drivers?? I am not installing any keyboard or mose. I am installing CHIPSET drivers, and apparently because the generic USB drivers are being installed around the time tis kicks in, I can't click on the unsigned driver warning, effectivelly ending in dead end. I need to know if it;s possible to edit something somewhere to force the **** Vista installation to bypass these checks and just install the stupid drivers.
  13. Is there really noone on these forums who knows anything about this?
  14. I actually have Ultimate disc and just play around with different versions available.
  15. Would anyone know how to bypass this?
  16. Ok, but how will you explain that it is impossible to install on N version then? There is no vLited WMP in there.
  17. vLite If you leave things alone, they'll actually work. WMP is a real POS IMO, but it's not Microsoft's fault is your install isn't working here. Well, I would say it IS their fault when I can't install something that should be possible to.
  18. Heh it STILL doesn't work. Reinstalled regular Business version and just removed the player and still nothing. What a POS software.
  19. Uhh, that's a bit complicated. **** software.
  20. oh. thanks!
  21. I got 64bit Vista, and downloaded the 64bit installer for 1.6.11 Java RE. Well, it just won't work - everytime I open a web with java-something on it, I get Opera popup about not having Java installed. It IS installed and it even is enabled, too! What gives?
  22. Hm, even more weird. After some more testing it seem that whatever is plugged in during the installation works, but screws up when I plug it in different USB port. that includes mouse and keyboard. What nonsense is this? I got the **** Intel chipset drivers correctly installed.
  23. Okay, few more attempts and few more problems. First: I integrated chipset drivers (P35). During the installation, I get prompted for unsigned drivers - I assume it's the chipset ones (well, can't really be anything else). The trouble is that in this stage USB ports randomly (probably not randomly, but it seems like so) stop working and of course it's also right at this point. So I am left without the possibility to agree on the installation. Not good. Can't integrate chipset drivers at all, then Any idea what can I do? Second: After I install the system, USB is not working at all. Doesn't help to switch ports (I think it does when AHCI is disabled but not sure, needs more testing), I have to reset the PC. Then it works. Wtf? Voodoo? I would like to solve this behavior. Third: I tried to install in AHCI mode. Works up to the point when I can fully install the system, but upon first boot I get totally weird popups about installing drivers for DVD drive (wth?) HDD (wth*2), and even some USB gaming mouse stuff. I don't get this. Completely. I am getting these even after I install chipset drivers, so it's not related. I don't need to say no drivers can be found, of course.
  24. May I add my own problem here? I am used to share some folders of the host computer for the guest from VirtualPC, but in VirtualBox it doesn't work. Well mainly I don't understand what the two possibilities mean, but they don't work anyway. If I share say my D: drive, I get this: Shared folder path blabla is not absolute (and some stupid characters). If I share some directory from the drive, nothing happens.
