oh by the way, when I specify files to protect, is it enough to just type the name or do I need to add path as well?
-
Well... Jeronimooo???

I am trying to integrate language pack into w7 professional and vLite gives me "files missing, integration aborted" message. What's going on? I thought the lp.cab was enough!

I am 99% sure it will NOT die because of heat as the critical temperature allegedly is, like I said, 103°C. But that doesn't help me with the fact that apparently it should NOT get as hot as it does. Really, I will just sell it (have a guy interested already) and buy DS4 with better PCI-e slots placement and possibly much more effective cooling. It should have no problems hitting 500FSB as well, which is what I am happy with. -
ou should have decent knowledge of the OS you are working with in the first place. Noone is going to explain obvious things to you, sorry. What's wrong with Blackviper's site is beyond me. That is EXACTLY the kind of resource you need. P.S. Cut down on the smileys, it's killing my eyes.

They basically told me they can send the board somewhere for evaluation, but it probably won't do any good and it would get returned back. Plus it would take ages and what am I supposed to do without a PC? In worst case I could even be forced to pay because of wrongful RMA, I guess. Screw it, I will sell it and buy DS4 with good cooling and hopefully everything in order. -

I have version 1.0 by the way, there is also 1.1 and 1.6, what ever the differences are. Normally the NB is set at 1.1v, I have mine at 1.2v. temperatures are some 6 to 14oC above ambient. Then mine must definitely be wrong, because at 1.1 in load, I can't touch the heatsink for longer than one second. I'd get burned. -
I did that! I don't think it helped. What helped at least up to some point was the screw thing.

Let me explain further. Thr airflow in the case is totally acceptable. There is plenty of room, and I've got one Noctua fan blowing onto CPU heatsink, and close after that there is the outtake fan, Noctua as well. The average temperature in the case as reported by HWMonitor is 45°C in full load (talking about say Prime95 running). Depending on outside temperature under 40 in idle. It is just the NB that goes very hot. I would normally not care because acording to specifications the critical temperature for P45 chipset is 103°C, but other owners reported theirs being warm at most even when pumping 1.3V into the NB. Default is 1.1. Based on that, I suspect something being wrong. Is it possible that the mb is reporting default voltage, but in fact setting much higher value ? -
Small update if anyone is interested. Auzentech guys suggested to cover the bracket with tape. Not sure if it made any difference, but later I accidentally realized that when I leave the card unscrewed to the case, the buzz is gone (well, almost - see below). Unfortunately the problem is only half gone. I found out that when I increase the volume in control panel all the way to 100% (anything above roughly 50, basically high values) it is still there. Plus the speakers make constant noise. Question is: is the noise normal? I THINK it is rather normal, because software-pulled up volume doesn't provide much quality. The buzz worries me more. Apparently there is some kind of grounding problem. How can that happen? See my signature - both the case and PSU are quality components. any ideas what to do or where to look?

Uhm, no. -
You will have to reinstall at least once at some point anyway Remember we are still in kind of beta stage, depending on what build are you using

Is it possible at all? Bootsect utility seems to only work with NTFS... Is there a way around this?

How to add Realtek High Definition Audio Driver to nLite ?
Octopuss replied to alirezaaa's topic in Device Drivers
Just click on the add multiple driver something, it will automatically install the correct stuff AFAIK. -
Before blaming anyone and anything, I'd suggest to improve your writing skills. This way you can't be taken even half seriously.
-
I finally managed to solve my problems entirely by not removing manual upgrade AND error reporting (seems like this is required in all these builds). Question: what is the difference between Vista and W7 in vLite? Just some components that are not recognized? Rest of the stuff vLite is capable of doing is identical?

Well, yes, up to a point It is stable, but the heatsink on the NB is so hot I can't even briefly touch it. Even in idle it is very hot. In load, say during some stress test, it gets so extreme I burned my finger on it a little. The PC is overclocked, but all voltages are at default values! Other people said theirs are reasonably cool even with much higher voltage. Airflow in the case is not a problem. Someone suggested my board might be defective in a way of pumping higher voltage in the NB than the BIOS says. I really don't know. -
Well, it is with an installer then. If you don't like it, download it elsewhere
-
Does anyone here own this specific board? If yes, can you tell me how hot does the heatsink on the northbridge go both in idle and load? Thanks!
-
Setup.exe isn't there, why is that? Is that the problem? Are you folks not using any different WIM version than the one in vLite or something? edit: Do you mean to copy setup.exe back there just before I make vLite create the image? Also, do I need newer version of the .sys and .inf files that are normally present in vLite? I just installed Win7 version of AIK and they are not there at all!

The Realtek thing did not produce any buzzing at all. I must say this card does produce slightly better sound BUT with buzz as a bonus Gah. I wouldn't find problems around the PSU, it's Enermax Modu82+, 525W top quality stuff. I think I will save up a little and buy decent amplifier, then connecting it via toslink, and use some "real" cables to connect the speakers. This is SO annoying. It's almost impossible to test, sadly. No idea where I sent an email to Auzentech though.
-
I just tried to vLite my w7 installation disk and failed again. It seems it just doesn't work with W7 at all. I just removed some components (kept drivers) and after booting I get a message saying something like "driver for you CD/DVD drive could not be found". When I point the setup to the location of drivers on my HDD, it fails again with unloadable driver (contact vendor for updated one). What gives?
-
Hm, the spread spectrum BIOS setting sound familiar, but I don't think I have it. I will play around with some voltages. Moved the card one slot away from VGA and it still buzzes Pehaps it would be better if I could use ballanced cables... But unfortunately I can't. **** cinches.
-
So I finally got me the shiny box containing Auzentech X-fi forte. I was rather disappointed when I realized there is quiet buzz going from the speakers when I either wheel-scroll around a web page or when moving the mouse. I also ran DC++ and the increasing list of hashed files produced this buzz, too! What could be the problem? The PC is overclocked with most of onboard stuff disabled. The soundcard is right next to VGA. Could that be the cause? I believe it should not...
