Actually there not loud at all. Alot quiter than fans, real quite! My next upgrade is going to be a cooler for my CPU and chipset. Ive been looking into it for some times now. And there reall not to high priced,you can get a full unit for around 150 to 300 depending on if you want your hard drives and vid card cooled to. Right now tho Im putting together a 24/7 server so Ill be adding the water cooler later on in the year. -XPerties BTW they do have liquid monitors now.lol

Dam all this work. Try sticking a disk in and explore your computer and drop and drag a small file to your plextore drive. It will burn:WTF?: :WTF?: -XPerties

Like the old saying goes....the s***s getting deep in here, Pull your pant leggs up. There isnt a machine that can boot XP from the first push of a button to actually being able to do something on the desktop in 5 sec. Its all bulls***. Just a spam post. -XPerties

well I compared my drivers with yours (I have the same plextor) and there all exzact. Dates, XP version..all 4 drivers. Hum...dont know what else to say...one thing tho When you say windows says its a cd-rom. Where are you getting that from? Right click my computer/properties? Is that what your saying? Does it say plextor in the device manager? -XPerties

1.Is this a new install of XP? 2. If so was it a upgrade? 3. If not is this a new install of the plextor? Try going into the device manager and uninstalling it, then reboot and let it reinstall it again. Theres also a update for burners on winupdates.com. Have you got that? -XPerties

2 things, It should be a master and check your bios to see if its detecting it as a plextor first. -XPerties

I dont think nor have I heard of this happening with XP Plus, altho I tell everyone to stay away from Plus. Its sucks....plain and simple. We tried everything with his machine to fix it. Replaceing files ect ect....but couldnt get it back. In the end he just formatted for other reason and all is fine now.Maybe someone else might have a solution. -XPerties

A friend of mine lost this function to when he installed Desktop Arcitect. Did you install any 3rd party software to manage your screen savers or themes? -XPerties

Yep [b:a60d5f1c9e]XP dOgg[/b:a60d5f1c9e]....I use it all the time. You can find alot of stuff when you share 40gigs and more. Its very nice, only on fall back. I was in there for about a week straight adn had well over 20 non completed files, which p***es me off. -XPerties

I dont know, but Ill say one thing....I have Office 2001 (not called XP BTW) and there was no difference between Office 2000 and office 2001. It was all a gimmick that bent you over for more money, thanks god I didnt buy 2001. :eek: :eek: -XPerties
