Hey guys, i've been dormant for a while Got a quick question, How can i get rid of IE6 (completely) and bring 5.5 back to life? I tried uninstalling IE6, then installed 5.5, but no luck it was still IE6 after reboot, any ideas? or steps? TIA
h*tp://www.microsoft.com/hwdev/platform/performance/fastboot/default.asp The design goals for Windows XP on a typical consumer PC are: Boot to a useable state in a total of 30 seconds Resume from Hibernate (S4) in a total of 20 seconds Resume from Standby (S3) in a total of 5 seconds My Usable state is accomplished in 5 seconds, far from 30. Anyway thats a tip for anyone who has slow boot up.
have you packed your HDD up with software? I've noticed when I packed it up to at least below half its capacity (i have a seagate 30gig -> 14.9gig) it takes a bit longer then usual to process data, if you have it packed up with stuff you dont need, remove some items..
ya, plus XP isnt anything special, i just like the space2 wallpaper, that looks cool i reckon. Umm I saw that Fish tank screen save on a LCD screen, in a shop.. it looks mad on LCD hehe (i ended up buying that LCD - LG 563LE 15")
I started getting too many little problems that got annoying. When i'd connect to the net it wouldnt tell me what speed in the nice little pop-up. Formatted today and edited the start button, progress bar and flashing taskbar buttons to blue. Looks much nicer i must say.
I know this may seem like a lame Thread/and or Question, But.. I was curious to know if anyone knows the history of Build 2600? Since alot of us use it.
yeah i did remove some components, cant rememeber which ones now. Forgot to back up the file as well, silly me Dont really want to format the PC, guess i'll just live without my 'effects'.
