  1. Hello everyone. Glad to see MSFN is still online! I'm happy to announce that the list has been migrated over to the Eclecboard forum. Huge thanks to my best friend @docR for migrating it for me to his forum and making sure all the formatting is correct. Here's the link to the sister thread on EclecBoard: https://forum.eclectic4un.me/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=113 Don't worry, I will continue to update the list on MSFN & EclecBoard for as long as both forums remain online. I am going to resume updating it again soon as I've been extremely busy in my personal life lately (and thankfully am now in a healthy, loving relationship ). After leaving the toxicity I was in before, I feel much better and have regained interest in Vista and the list again and hope to get everything squared away with it within the next couple of weeks, as there's going to be a LOT of new changes made since October 2020... Hope everyone is doing well!

  2. regarding Mypal68 memory usage versus 360Chrome v11 memory usage - My single-core with 1.5 GB RAM is at dad's house (six hours away), so I can only show what I can do here. My low-grade system here is a quad-core with 2.0 GB RAM. For me, the "site isolation" flags makes memory consumption WORSE. And Mypal68 is EVEN WORSE! 360Chrome v11 without site-isolation flags - 360Chrome v11 with site-isolation flags -

  4. So.. how's it going everyone here at our great forum?? Sometimes, when we're short on words, all we can come up with is 1 word to pretty much sum up how we're feeling. Let us try to keep this positive and not let it too negative (even if, indeed you do feel completely "Sh!tty"), let us avoid going downhill too far), only because, I'm hoping to promote positivity and hope when times are rough and people have a lot to deal with - especially around the holidays; as if they aren't already stressful enough, this one will be difficult for many of us. Besides.. it nice to know you're not along out there, and the forum is another way to stay connected to one-another. Ok.. I'll start.. (cautiously) Optimistic

  5. Wow ... we just posted at exactly the same time and we agree. V11 is the best for my situation, as well.

  6. Hi @NotHereToPlayGames, I did some further tests. In my old system only 360Chrome version 11 is the only one I should use. Starting with launch parameter --process-per-site, an empty tab and four installed extensions I got a RAM usage of 260 MB. That's fine. I'll try to open tabs as less as possible i.e. not more than 3 tabs. Under these conditions the overall performance is definitely okay for me. Thanks again for your tests and information! Cheers! 7. I tried this one and was unable to witness any "automatic discarding". I could discard MANUALLY from the chrome://discards page, but could not force any "automatic discard". I kept loading new YouTube tabs and watching my memory monitor in my systray. As soon as the memory monitor hit 90%, XP threw up its yellow systray icon indicating low memory but 360Chrome did not discard anything but nor would it load more tabs.

  11. No. Aero won't let you run modern programs just by enabling it . I imagine that any program that works on SP2 should work here as this build should contain EncodePointer and DecodePointer already

  12. If you run 360Loader.exe, it loads the browser with the switches and commands which are listed in 360Loader.ini. If you just run 360Chrome.exe, it doesn't. The 360Loader.ini contents have been determined by @NotHereToPlayGames/ArcticFoxie as being the best conditions to run the browser in.

  13. He is probably watching this topic, I am judging that by his "QEMU Prince Of Persia 3D (1999)" video Let's test it: Yes, we might be totally wrong about the issue of paying for your project, that's not even the main concern. You seem like a very knowledgeable person, just like rloew was. Understand that your project and other projects can co-exist in peace. They are fundamentally different, but can be used for the same goals, Nothing wrong with having a choice. Emulating PC components as a whole has its benefits, just like GPU passthrough does, no need to exclude one just because the other exists. We can point things at your project, and you can point things at other projects, you bring good points why your solution is superior, and we (or at the very least I) wouldn't have a problem with that. However, don't behave like that your words are the almighty truth and everyone else is an id*** and have no rights to voice their opinions. Your borderline vulgar remarks are often unnecessary and do not do anything other than make people potentially turn their heads off your one-of-a-kind project. We are very interested in your work and as I've said, I am considering making a donation and test it, believe me, I have the hardware and determination, just don't want to feel like I have to watch every word of mine so I do not get attacked by you just because I might have some remarks about your project. Present your project better, without personal remarks and you would only benefit from this with more positive publicity and potentially more donations. You do know that history showed that many great projects got destroyed by mixing amazing programming with personal feelings (and therefore personal life)? Just don't act you're above everyone else, OK? I do not recall rloew pointing fingers at everyone in every post he made and he did commercial work for old systems enthusiasts just like you do, and no-one had any problems with that. I bought his AHCI driver before he passed away. I have plans to donate to you in the future, but if you keep making things personal for everyone even slightly interested in your project, I will not.

  15. Hello everyone. I'm sorry for the very long period of inactivity lately. I've had a lot going on outside of MSFN in my personal life that has kept me busy. I also walked away from an unhealthy relationship and have been taking steps to rebuild my life since then, which has kept me from being able to update the list for the past several months. In light of the recent announcement that MSFN is going offline, I will be moving my list over to a forum hosted by my friend Ryan: http://forum.eclectic4un.me/ This will take a while as I need to manually re-add all of the links and formatting, but I will post the link here when it is finished. Feel free to join our forum if you're looking for a new home once MSFN is no longer available! We're still grassroots at the moment, but we will be building a new legacy software community over there and we'd love to have you join us (@Ximonite& @win32 are already there and have pertinent posts related to Vista Extended Kernel & Win2000's KernelXE!). Thank you so much everyone here for your contributions to the list over the past 6 years. It has been my pleasure to help provide this information to Vista users for the past several years, and I like to believe our efforts have helped many Vista (and even XP) users over the years. I'm sad to see MSFN go, but all good things do come to an end. Best regards
