  1. I saw a video on youtube today and its honestly really true. Makes me like the existence of forums like msfn nowadays, since most of the similar ones died out years ago.

  2. We could "probably" make changes to one version's browser_strings.xml and carry that .xml over to a newer version, but I prefer to avoid any possible mistakes so I modify each-and-every build totally from scratch. I wish there were more MSFN users actually INTERESTED in 360Chrome. It has a lot of potential but the number of users here that use it can be counted on one hand! What really needs done is a total rewrite to get rid of all the REDUNDANCY. As an example, the phrase "Add to Bookmarks" exists about a DOZEN times in SIX different files. I'm OCD so all one dozen entries spanning six different files HAS TO BE IDENTICAL. ALL software developers should be OCD !!!...

  3. Hello! I finally finished with the modifications I made for the original v9 version. I was incorporating almost all of the rules of @ArcticFoxie from the translation and grammatical issues. Thanks for all those steps man. I will post all the modifications I made in a pastebin. I am still trying to organize them. The modifications for the prevention of Chinese connections were updated. https://www.mediafire.com/file/0ie269yna5qb37w/360EE_9.5.0.138_Modified.7z/file (newer one ahead) Also if you want to run Flash Player you can use this extension: https://ruffle.rs/ (does not work, at least with v9) Cheers.

  4. Ok. 2206 and 2250 in my setup work well vanilla. With addons, depending on the addons, they crash often, but mostly with youtube. In both cases I was able to come up with addon/settings combinations that work in my system, without youtube crashing, and with most top-heavy scripted pages (FB, gmail, etc) loading with no issues. But again, it is hit and miss, depending on the characteristics of different setups. The main issues is, again, youtube. I gave Humming Owl's 9.5 version another try, and it runs well and stable. Nether his version, nor 2206 and 2250 by ArticFoxie are DRM enabled. I do swear I watched part of a couple of Netflix movies in 2250 in the first run, though, although I can't replicate now. I must have been dreaming. Now, if the directory structure in Humming Owl's 9.5 is adapted to replicate the one provided by ArticFoxie, it is possible to run the 360Loader ArticFozie provided, with (I think) the settings given in his 360Loader.ini. With a vanilla default profile (at least) it is possible to simply change the content of chrome/application, shifting versions with no problem (at least in the limited testing I have done). I am now testing whether or not the registry settings in 360Loader.ini are really needed. It seems to me that they are unnecessary. 360Chrome writes the entries alone, with "wrong" data (bad language definitions and other settings, such as fixed default search engine, etc), so ArticFoxie's reg files in 360Loader.ini are necessary. PS: no need to apologize, ArticFoxie. Thanks for your efforts, and the same to Humming Owl.

  5. Crap! My apologies! That is the Russian Repack that my build STARTS FROM but that doesn't have ANY of my modifications. Here is the correct link -- https://www.dropbox.com/s/uqusfcjrbox9akz/360Chrome%20%28unran%29.zip?dl=0 My apologies.

  6. I can't start and run these browsers with the Ucrtbase.dll (system folder) of MyPal or Centaury (10.0.16299.397). I had this file in the ME system folder on my P4V800D-X machine. The substitution of ucrtbase.dll to version 10.0.14393.33 of Firefox 52.9 brought success.

  7. I am pleased, that you like to test ReactOS files on Win ME. I would like to help, but I had never tried VMWare/VMWare Tools on ReactOS. It's also been round about 10 years since I tinkered with VM's. You may find more help on the ReactOS forum or ReactOS Wiki at first. (https://reactos.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=16367) Of course, VMWare Tools on ReactOS is off topic here in KernelEx Auxiliary DLL Updates.

  9. I keep forgetting what some ini values do such as BCD= MERGE IDE=, DriversMode=, DriversWinRE= etc.. Is there one place where the less obvious entries are explained? I see there is a Help for the [Options] section. A lot of the items in the other sections are self-explanatory, but not all and I tend to forget those. [WinNT6] [WinNT6\TWEAKS] [WinNT6\READY] [VHD] Thanks ...
