Sorry, no. And here is the proof that it is also working in a private window:2 points

Yep! But I don't know why and what they do. This turbolauncher 2.0.9.9 extension also works for me in New Moon 28. So, I can't confirm your statement. If you use it in Pale Moon and probably also in the 64-bit version of Pale Moon, then it may well be that the extension does not work, at least what I read in the Discord thread. Under Windows XP 32-bit, the VORAPIS V3 scipt and the corresponding extensions work in New Moon 28, Serpent 52 and Mypal 68. I haven't tested so far other browsers.2 points

No. Maybe. For me, normal password does not work anymore in Mailnews but only in the web interface.2 points

If links are broken here in @roytam1's posts, you can directly download the files from his server https://o.rthost.win/, only if they really exist there, of course. I have just downloaded them, and they are definitely there.2 points

I assume "shoehorning the patch" means adapting the patch for UXP browsers and being able to insert it. I really hope it is possible and that it works.2 points

It's not allowed to share modded copyright protected material here , but I can share in a new topic with instructions so you could do it yourself , it's easy to do when you know what to do in advance . It took me several days , at least , I also had to do lots of tests . But I want to know how to force DSE always OFF , otherwise you would have to do it every boot and it's annoying. And you need to know I test on a 900 series Titan.2 points

So one could say I finally defeated the bloody drivers . SUCCESS 376.11 - Works VERY good and Fast . Everything works , Aero , DX10/11 games , Cuda , etc. total FAILURES 378.49 - Instant BSOD 382.05 - Black Screen (but sounds playing) 390.67 - Hangs up and nothing (had to do a hard reset) 456.xx - Tested several - all have like 10-15 frames (no acceleration in games at all) . Aero working. I ran as administrator In the command prompt type bcdedit /set nointegritychecks on bcdedit.exe /set loadoptions DDISABLE_INTEGRITY_CHECKS bcdedit.exe /set TESTSIGNING ON Doesn't help at all. I have a question to @win32 , how do I bloody turn the DSE so it could stay on forever ? As long as I don't select it in the F8 boot menu - I instantly get "code 39 error".2 points
-
Maybe win32 knows what happened between chrome 81 and 82 so the adblocker stopped working ?! The error was shown here earlier.2 points
-
Yes , but not all , only *some* . Don't forget, you need to look for the ones without the "off" switch. Adblockers don't work anyways . There was a trick described by @Dixel , but I can't find it now . In short , only chrome 81 will work with the adblocker if you remove the locales.2 points
-
Some of them do ! You gotta search for the ones that are "always on" . I mean NO "OFF" switch . Because if they have it , chrome will turn them off , always . Also they have to be without "locales". Example : Easy WebRTC Block version 1.1.0 works fine for me with chrome 103.2 points

The YouTube website https://www.youtube.com/@LinusTechTips/videos?cbrd=1 works properly with the VORAPIS V3 script in New Moon 28. And yes, this userscript actually works without any additional instructions. Here is a screenshot: I guess you did something wrong, or you are using incompatible filters which interferes with the script. The message "Warning: Content Security Policy: Couldn’t process unknown directive ‘require-trusted-types-for’" is not relevant for your issue but the error message "Error: TypeError: NetworkError when attempting to fetch resource". Which browser do you use for the script? Please, test the script in a new, clean profile! And install this Greasemonkey version in New Moon 28: https://github.com/janekptacijarabaci/greasemonkey/releases/download/3.31.4Fork/greasemonkey-3.31.4-pm_forkBranch.xpi Additionally, check your network settings and for testing purpose, disable your adblocker if you use one! And ensure that no security software is blocking the script!1 point

You're right though, none of these XUL bells and whistles are really needed per se. None whatsoever are needed to access web content. But then why do we bother with tweaking our browsers (or operating systems)? We could just go with default minimal setup. Is it all just distraction from the otherwise bleak existence? Not blaming you, I clearly said it's due to Windows Update. They are quite silly and undecided when it comes to this ... feature, lol.1 point

It's math. As height is measured in icon count, not pixels. Don't blame me, ask MS. Maybe vivetool can disable that.1 point

There is no problem including paid software in this thread. Any software which still works on Windows XP now is worth mentioning. I would ask though that if software is not freeware that it should be mentioned in the relevant post.1 point

Thank you , I'll try . I don't test on Efi/uefi motherboard. I test this on a very old board from 2010 or so and Titan from 2014 - 2015 . The mobo has an old school BIOS. I wonder if it has something to do with my Vista edition being Business ? While most of you have the Ultimate version . Anyways , I read several posts from various sources saying disabling DSE forever just doesn't work. This , for example. And it looks like this Microsfot Moderator "Rohit Raina" having troubles understanding the question . https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/permanently-disable-driver-signature-enforcement/176caf31-df98-41bc-8a5f-b9b91589da45 Even if I run all commands as admin and reboot , I still have this crap , look below.1 point

I did a research and the problem with the locales that I found , you won't like it , I'm afraid . I traced what the browser does right when I try to install the damn "localised" extension (why do they do them anyways!?) In this example I tried uBlock version 1.42 , during the installation the browser sends a request for "ResolveLocaleName" , win32 added this function , but is still leads to an empty response . So the install blocked ! In earlier versions they used GetLocaleInfoW , GetLocaleInfoEx , GetUserDefaultLocaleName, GetUserDefaultUILanguage , GetUserDefaultLangID which was more than enough !!! Yet those plonkers decided to add the buggy ResolveLocaleName. I wonder if win32 could do smth to redirect it to some real value.1 point
