  1. @Tomcat76, @GH0st Yeah, I got the same problems!! My computer specs are Intel Pentium Northwood 2.80 GHz CPU (single core, 32 Bit), 1.5 GB SD-RAM and a NVIDIA GeForce 6200 graphic card, so much, much, much weaker than yours. I found a solution to get back the old 2013 layout of YouTube which is very resource-saving, loads quickly and revives the old YouTube feeling. The solution is VORAPIS V3. I use the most recent development build of the extension in Mypal 68 from this link https://vorapis.pages.dev/#/home/download instead of the version from the Mozilla page https://addons.mozilla.org/de/firefox/addon/v3-get-old-youtube-layout/. Now, I can finally access videos on the YouTube page in Mypal 68.14.4b again and watch them in 360p quality on my very old machine. This is a screenshot of the classic YouTube interface restored by VORAPIS V3 when a video is played in Mypal 68.14.4b:: In general, the quality 360p is all that is possible with my old hardware to watch videos fluently in browsers. The YouTube tab consumes round about 170 MB. I think that is less for the crappy YouTube. On your computers, Mypal 68.14.4b should actually play videos easily in much higher quality than 360p. If not, then your current configurations don't seem to be done properly.

  2. Well , I would've try , but it's not making any sense now . 72 is old already. Besides ,what are the features of plain chrome , Opera has hide IP (at least). Besides , I'm still fighting for DTS HD , kinda busy . Perhaps I will try later and inform you.

  3. This is a problem not with the interface, which is a crap indeed, but with the playback, vp09 format actually. I tried the VORAPIS anf it does not work on the mypal68, you tell what use for the yt.

  4. Maybe, Chromium-based browsers don't have the same "issues" with YouTube playback. However, these browsers play YouTube videos much worse than the Mozilla-based ones under Windows XP on my machine. Thorium and 360Chrome are browser which play YouTube videos at worst on my old Windows XP computer.

  5. It's a choice, but it's my choice; and it was working fine until a recent update. It mostly works in 3.8.9, except for the META key still opening it only in the primary monitor.

  6. ... For Mozilla-based browsers capable of WebExtensions (MyPal68, St52, St55), especially on old and under-resourced H/W, I always come back to: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/youtube-mobile-for-desktop/ This add-on has been mentioned before across various MSFN subforums, but personally (without a Google/YT account) I find that the "mobile YT" iteration is the one less "hungry" in my old 2008-era laptop ; of course, if you insist on >=1080p resolutions, "mobile YT" is not for you ... OT: It's too bad the developer hasn't come up with something similar for Chromium-based browsers...

  7. Thanks for the hint! The YouTube interface of VORAPIS V3 is very responsive and lightweight, though. The complete YouTube page with the demanded video, playlist and comments is loaded very fast, even on my old machine. Only some seconds. The original, non-manipulated, junk interface is almost unusable on my computer.

  8. I mentioned that client here. But it's not self-contained and runs code from the remote server, which author can replace anytime without your knowledge. Some take it as a red flag.

  10. Yes. As you can see in the screenshots, the menu bar has already been enabled. The File, Edit etc. menu is located at the top left of the window. The background colour is blue, the font colour is white. That's why it is only difficult to see in my screenshots. I only unchecked the bookmarks bar. In any case, all is working. The CSS code #tabbrowser-tabs { visibility: collapse !important; } only hides the tab bar and nothing else. When you assign to the ID tabbrowser-tabs, which determines the tab bar, a property in CSS, then only this ID will be modified and nothing else. The last two screenshots show how Mypal 68 can be retrofitted to still get access to all open tabs when hiding the tab bar. I removed the CSS code .tabs-newtab-button { display: none !important; } to get back the New Tab button, which is the class tabs-newtab-button in CSS. I then manually moved it to the position shown in the screenshots. BTW, may I remind you what I already wrote: Cheers, AstroSkipper

  13. Personally, I prefer the tab bar visible to manage tabs and jump to the one I need, just the way it has always been. I only made the CSS code above on request and to show that the corresponding code can be easily created for hiding the complete tab bar, even including the New tab button. For all who need as much free screen as possible while surfing, but do not want to do without tabs completely, there will be soon a modified version of "Make the tab bar invisible in Mypal 68" in the next posts.

  14. TBH, there is actually nothing to work out. Just a bit copy and paste following the instructions. Reading and directly doing is the method.

  15. First of all, a little tip when replying to a post by quoting. Afler clicking the quote button, you should put your reply outside the quote. Otherwise your actual reply is hidden inside the quote, and only expanding the quote would make it readable. Back to the CSS code. All is described in detail in my article and additionally inside the MYPAL_68_CB_requirements.7z package. It's almost like an instruction manual. You can't really do anything wrong. The whole thing actually only takes a few minutes. Once this initial setup is done, you can easily add or manage UC.JS scripts as well as CSS stylesheets. If you have problems following the instructions, feel free to ask here!

  17. @UCyborg, I don't know wether it's a good or a bad thing though, esp. in your case. From my own experience, females prefer adventurous males. But then again, maybe it's because of a certain type of the females I usually choose, I dunno. And again, someone who likes down-to-earth folks, would try to force you to have offsprings with them and/or create a family, not suitable for me, but could be very good if you seek exactly this. I can't consult you about males, sorry. From what I read about your country, the local population tends to have more females than males.

  19. Please, lemme ask, what amount of Euro is needed to get a good rest/have fun in your country for a week ? And how big/good is the pool of the local 18/19 y.o. females ? I mostly date blondes. By the fun I mean some clubbing/females, maybe a bit of shopping for the said females and good food. I'm asking because I remember you wrote you live in a very expensive country with avery high qulaity of life, and I'm not rich. Thanks. On a side note, maybe we could even hang out together ! I'm a good company. Fun and cheerful. Lol, just kidding.

  22. Don't use dating websites, it's all in the past, there are only nigirinas/russians there. Just go out and invite a clean looking hairdresser from a barbeshop. Cheap and proven to work. Don't invite them home, otherwise could be hard to get rid of them later.

Oh. and Chromium ungoogled 84 , 85 , 86 won't launch at all too , those files din't help ... Someone here using Chromium ungoogled ? I can't stand Firefox (just my preference, sorry). It's not that I'm a fan of chrome , just chose between the two evils. Thanks

  26. Hi , 1 - the “manual update” I did from these official links supplied by MS. http://ctldl.windowsupdate.com/msdownload/update/v3/static/trustedr/en/authrootstl.cab http://ctldl.windowsupdate.com/msdownload/update/v3/static/trustedr/en/disallowedcertstl.cab It added some , but too few. And, yes , I also did the update from the post you linked a long time ago. It helped a bit , yet “the browser” still asks for more certificates . 2 - “the browser” is 36O Explorer with manually removed telemetry from the original (yes, I do not trust patches and russian repacks). It is based on Chromium 86 with TLS 1.3 and works fine with Vista , much faster than Chromium 86 on Win7. Also, I manually blocked almost all tracking features like "safebrowsing" and a ton of various IPs.

  28. Hi , I've tried x64 Chromium ungoogled 84 , 85 , 86 and nothing happens , yep that's right , no errors shown. Also , I've tried some games with this method with zero luck . For example, games with "mono" engine simply tell : cannot load mono. Others just quit in silence, like their process shown for a sec., then quits. By the way , could you please tell me where to read about certificates updating . Much appreciated ! Edit , I had a manual update from MS links done, still the browser tells I don't have the needed certs.

  29. Thanks for the quick reply , both versions (32 and 64bit) won't launch . They are just giving different errors , x64 bit shows : SHAssocEnumHandlersForProtocolByApplication not found in shell32.dll And no , I'm not trying the latest versions . It's Opera 60 and earlier. Edit : maybe the patched files are old , but I don't know where to find their newer versions...

  30. Hello , sadly it didn't work with Opera , I did all aforementioned steps , rebooted , yet it still wants TryAcquireSRWLockExclusive. I even tried older versions , like 60 . I'm using extended files dated July 2020, from the known youtube video.

  31. Hi, yes , HD audio (bypass through HDMI to receiver). I've tried all drivers starting from May 2013 and up to 372.70. Right now I have 344.60 installed and will leave it be for some time. I've tried almost all available drivers using both Vista and 7 - the result is the same, no DTS HD MA with Vista , could this be an artificial block which happens upon the installation ? Maybe the installer writing smth to the registry ? I'm just guessing ... If I check with with the panel "playback devices/supported formats" , there are only DTS and DD5.1, so I tried to add registry entries from W7 , now it says DTS-HD also , but it doesn't help to bypass the sound. All Video players I've tried still force DTS HD to be played as usual DTS. I remember there was a similar problem with XP , it had limitations to support "DTS stereo" only . I'm not sure who to blame , Nvidia clearly says DTS HD MA is available with GTX780.
