Try the portable version! BTW, running Windows 7 32-bit is not really a good choice, unless your CPU is a 32-bit one only. I used Youtube Downloader HD in the past but there are better ones, even for Windows XP. And to answer your question, I fear 32-bit OSes and programmes have been in a dying process for a long time, see Linux. The number of programme manufacturers is growing who have already abandoned their 32-bit versions.3 points

Just reading this, I have no Google accounts myself but could this happen with other accounts? I always delete cookies when I close a browser. If this is true and it reads like it is ... could be a game changer. Need to be more alert with banking and other such sites. I didn't see any mention of this already from last October. Hackers Exploit Third-Party Cookies to Access Google Accounts Without Passwords by Lucas Nolan / 9 Jan 2024 https://www.breitbart.com/tech/2024/01/09/hackers-exploit-third-party-cookies-to-access-google-accounts-without-passwords/ Security experts at CloudSEK have reportedly identified a new form of malware that exploits third-party cookies, allowing unauthorized access to Google accounts without the need for passwords.2 points

Either, you have to directly edit the mpc-hc.ini file inside the MPC-HC folder and to assign certain values to variables for playing YT videos in 480p. Here is the code: YDLMaxHeight=480 YDLVideoFormat=3 Or, you can edit slightly more comfortably the values under Options -> Advanced. Here is a screenshot: In any case, these settings work for me on my old, weak Windows XP computer. YDLVideoFormat=3 means to play the stream with the VP9 30fps video codec. YDLMaxHeight=480 is probably self-explanatory. When hovering the mouse over the variables, you'll get more information. Cheers, AstroSkipper2 points

I had this error long time ago, for me it was the dodgy (wobbly) eSata cable. "Faulty SATA or power supply cable", but in this case also could be the compatibility issues of the new controller with XP. https://appuals.com/fix-the-io-operation-at-logical-block-address-for-disk-was-retried/2 points

Update 2025-02-08: Working with the GPT driver 8.0.1.0 included in Paragon Partition Manager 15 from Windows XP, I have completely filled a 6 Tb hard disk connected to SATA port in IDE mode and successfully verified that the data written to it is correct both from Windows XP and Windows Seven with the program "H2testw". +2 TiB via USB it is also possible but only works with Windows 2003 drivers and only if the adapter translates the logical sector from 512 to 4096 bytes. With these drivers you cannot exceed the 2^32 sector limit, so they are not suitable for SATA +2TiB without data corruption unless the ACHI/RAID driver allows it. I think that the issue of working correctly with GPT disks in Windows XP can be considered "solved", without prejudice to fixing problems that may arise regarding hardware compatibility and software tools. Subsequently, several users have corroborated these tests, and despite the fact that there are several drawbacks to take into account, if you follow the instructions GPT +2TiB works on XP, always at your own risk. This post is only intended to help those who want to do it. If you think it is a disaster to lose your data, you don't do it. The Paragon GPT driver generally only works in IDE mode. If you cannot enable IDE mode you can install a PCI Express card with SATA ports that has a switch to enable "IDE mode" or "no boot mode". Caution, you don't use other versions of Paragon GPT Loader, I have found that all of them are limited to the 32-bit sector limit (that is 2 TiB). You don't use the Paragon driver if you have Windows XP with PAE to go over the 4 GiB RAM limit, this causes data corruption on the GPT hard disks +2Tb working by SATA!!! Make a partition table copy because in certain circumstances partitions disappear just by opening Windows XP Disk Manager without performing any additional operations. The Paragon driver does not work with external hard disks connected via USB, in USB ports with hard disks until 16 Tb we can use Windows 2003 drivers with USB adapters that transfer the logical sector from 512 bytes to 4096 bytes. Although this is also possible with MBR disks +2TiB without the need to install any driver. The Windows 2003 driver version also limits the hard disks size in Windows XP to 2 TiB on SATA ports and by USB if the translation of the logical sectors to 4096 does not occur. You don't use the Windows 2003 drivers alone to work with hard drives connected to the SATA port, these can be installed together with the Paragon GPT Loader 8.0.1.0 Apparently, the 2 TiB limit affects both MBR and GPT (it's actually a limit of 2^32 sectors). Meanwhile, the 2 TiB limitation remains built into Windows XP with GPT hard disks. This limitation prevents the hard disks from working properly unless is installed the Paragon GPT Loader driver 8.0.1.0 contents at Paragon Partition Manager 15 Professional. This is the latest version available for Windows XP, it is a downgrade from the 10.0.5.95 driver as the latter is limited to 2 TiB hard disks on Windows XP and also contains BSOD errors when starting the boot from FAT32 partitions. At the moment it is not possible to properly install the driver 8.0.1.0 without running the program installer. However, in the installer you can choose to install only the driver. I have not yet tested how Paragon Partition Manager works when editing GPT partitions. Chkdsk does not work until Windows XP is booted. Also most software tools for editing hard disk partitions do not work on Windows XP with GPT hard disks. ¡¡¡Please use this with caution, protect your data or don't use it!!! Whenever you encounter anything "map-related", that always suggests WebGL to me. Many folks disable WebGL and my releases used to disable it also. But 9 out of 10 "this web site does not work" was pretty much always WebGL so my releases now enable it by default and leaves it to the end-user to disable it if they so choose. Perhaps Mypal has WebGL disabled by default?1 point

I haven't updated InterLink at least since Tobin was going to ragequit. I thought Google doesn't allow mere mortals to get in with classic password auth? Maybe they made an exception for Egyptians. Well it's manageable and I'm very used to certain extensions and font rendering. But yeah, if displaying something takes 5 seconds in Chrome, it'll take 11 seconds in Pale Moon. Though this was more extreme example, delays would still add up if you counted them. On the other hand, both Chrome and Firefox struggle with 4K videos on my end, Pale Moon plays them like a boss. At least if you don't try them after longer session.1 point

You're welcome! And thanks for contributing here! There is only one build of uBlock Origin 1.16.4.31b2-1.54.0 available on MediaFire at a time. The previous builds of this version have been removed by me. It was always the release with the same version number only corrected. No need to give them different sub-version numbers. I did not test my release in the BNavigator browser. In general, I only change compatibility strings in the install.rdf of an xpi file if I really know it is really compatible. Have you already fully tested my release in BNavigator? In any case, I tested my release in Pale Moon 32.5.2, and it worked there, too. The maxVersion is not that important as the minVersion is but I can update it next time. I will take these changes into account in my upcoming release uBlock Origin 1.16.4.31. Thanks for the hint!1 point

I totally agree! Errare humanum est! One of my favourite Latin sayings! BTW, I do and did not have any problems to be proved wrong. As a mathematician I see evidence for what it is. And this is never about sensitivities or subjective feelings, and it doesn't matter what kind of matter. In any case, you could see in my screenshot what I did. And that was important to me. ... Did you remember to also toggle "dom.getRootNode.enabled" to "true"? These prefs are actually a "wedded couple", so to speak - if one is set to true, the other has to be set to true, too - and vice versa ... That's why I provided a screenshot in my post above. Didn't you see my preference settings in the extra window? The image actually speaks for itself. Additionally, I had inserted red arrows. Since we have discussed here the settings of dom.webcomponents.enabled and dom.getRootNode.enabled, I do control them that way. If both are set to false, the lamp goes on. If both are set to true, the lamp goes off. The lamp is in the toolbar to the right of my red CSP button. Don't let the many buttons confuse you! My browser configuration is very special and also a little more complex than usual. Here is my screenshot once again: I've already tested it again. Now both, Web Components and Palefill enabled, are working on VirusTotal. Very strange! Anyway! Thanks for summing up all essential facts! You know I read this thread as attentively as possible. And your posts in particular! And @roytam1's and @UCyborg's ones, too, of course!1 point

I have just tested VirusTotal in my New Moon 28 (2023-03-24) with dom.webcomponents.enabled set to true. But It only works properly if Palefill is disabled. If not, the homepage renders correctly but a file can't be uploaded. I thought Web Components and Palefill would not harm each other, but reality speaks a different language. Or was it just a coincidence? I'll have to check that the next days. If you're looking for problems, just turn on your computer!1 point

If I where you, I'd report that spamming cretin to the MSFN moderators, who the hell allows him to to use our inboxes to fulfill his needs for another forum ?!??! Why they want you ? Well, two possible scenarios: 1st - They're gonna make a mockery out of you, like they did in the past, I still have a couple of quite unpleasant screenshots somewhere. 2nd - Their situation is just awful (no surprise), and they simply want to fill out their empty space. What struck me as weird, why is he still here and @Tripredacus won't do anything about it ? Perhaps he just doesn't know that cretin resurfaced here again under a new name ? I was under the impression - previously banned users are not allowed. So report him the inbox message and his new screen name. This is *of course* not my business, if you choose not to. Then good luck to you on that "eclispe" or whatever that stinking hole name is.1 point

Guys, how about this. Reviews on Yelp.com. Cannot read them. Map does not load, addresses do not load, reviews do not load. A lot of buttons on the site don't select when you push them. Pretty thoroughly broken. I tried a few browsers and nothing. Then I tried on my phone. Yelp will serve the first few characters and if you want to read the whole comment, and click read more, it loads an ad for their "app" which is apparently mandatory for reading reviews of anything. Seems like a real trash company. Can anyone load it?1 point
