I'm not sure I understand what you were trying to say, if we stick only to official statements, the year old Chrome 109 is also still "supported". Besides, it's simply not true. Old Win10 are thrown to garbage already. Look here: Or you have doubts in @yoltboy01?2 points

Chromium 119 still works on Threshold2 (1511) Windows 10 Enterprise LTSB 2015 based on the original RTM of Windows 10 is going to be supported till October 2025 https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/lifecycle/products/windows-10-2015-ltsb So if the chromium devs keep supporting what M$ does, then you have 2 another years. And also it doesn't look like they are going to drop Server 2016 very soon https://support.google.com/chrome/a/answer/7100626?hl=en2 points

Even funnier! They claim it's "compatible with Vista", scroll to 3. https://www.catsxp.com/faq 3. Compatible with Vista2 points

News to me. I didn't think this thread was dedicated to x86 "only". Unsure of what the split is on MSFN Members that run XP as to how many of them are x86 versus x64. I run x64 (Windows XP Professional x64 Edition) but had no clue that there are "two versions" of x64. Interesting. It is safe to say that no MSFN Member is running the "Itanium" edition.1 point

This one, also. 1. Will this browser collect or disclose my privacy information? "Strictly abide by the "Regulations on the protection of computer software" of the people's Republic of China... So, if by the China "regulations", then it's fine.1 point

Yes, RTM is 1507, right. 1511 is some beta (alpha?) pre-release.1 point

Agreed on both ; as a consequence, I find the recent discussion in this page a bit "premature" ; as a Vista user, I have found out by now (often the "painful" way ) that both "officially" and "non-officially" (more so ) advertised OS compatibilities with "legacy" MS OSes are to be taken cum grano salis ; as the old adage goes: "the proof is in the pudding"; @WSC4, you shall have the last word on this ...1 point

It should be noted that the overhaul has the neat side-effect that all content is no longer DRM-protected as it was before. (yt-dlp also does not support the new site format yet, but you can already use the network traffic monitor to grab the "master.m3u8" URL and pass that to yt-dlp.) MyPal 68 directly plays all videos fine.1 point

I do have an old 15xx LTSB lying around somewhere. May need to resurrect it. I thought it was 1507 instead of 1511 but I really don't remember without reinstalling it.1 point

If a manufacturer specifies the following as system requirements then the programme, in this case Panda Free Antivirus, should actually run under Windows XP 64 Bit. But let's face it, most manufacturers probably don't really test their programmes under all old, abandoned operating systems anymore. Therefore, the users simply have to test it themselves. And that means we have to do a part of the manufacturers' job if we want to use their programmes under these legacy OSes.1 point

I'm running out of improvement ideas(which is workable within limited OIW infrastructure), so I put the source I modified to somewhere else. (I can't remember where did I grab it from)1 point

The German media (TV) portal Tele5: https://tele5.de/mediathek was "overhauled" recently (you guess what comes next ), as a result UXP-based browsers now won't load at all their embedded (JS-based) HTML5 player, even when the geo-resrtiction has been circumvented (whitelisted DE IP address via VPN/HTTPS proxy, etc.); e.g., loading in latest NM28 below URL: https://tele5.de/mediathek/die-saeulen-der-erde-teil-1-und-2 one ends up with: Does anyone have any faint idea what type of "Chrome-ism" is it that they require now , as (yes, you guessed right again ) Chromium86-based 360EEv13 is quite capable of loading that JS player (and initiating playback as well):1 point

And what about Supremium? Did you try it? It's on latest Chrome build, did you like it? It claims to work on 8.1.1 point

It would be very strange if some Panda products support XP x64 while others only support XP SP3 x86. Not inconceivable perhaps, but the contradictory information is more likely attributable to a writer who is not very knowledgeable about Windows XP. It will be interesting to hear from WSC4 if he tests Panda.1 point

Hello everyone, the WURv4 catalog is now available, although there are certain limitations: the download history does not work correctly, or on an NT 5.x system such as 2000 or XP a cyclic redundancy error appears when downloading updates not added by Microsoft in inventories. But in 9x you can download updates without problem.1 point

I rather afraid of this. And I trust @Mr.Scienceman2000 and @Dixel. Not saying I don't trust you, perhaps you just missed the facts. https://msfn.org/board/topic/183138-mozilla-and-firefox-has-turned-into-evil-and-lie-to-their-userbase-leave-it-and-go-for-alternatives/1 point

New build of post-deprecated Serpent/moebius for XP! * Notice: This repo will not be built on regular schedule, and changes are experimental as usual. ** Current moebius patch level should be on par with 52.9, but some security patches can not be applied/ported due to source milestone differences between versions. I was very interested to stumble upon Monroe's post, July 12, about Malwarebytes version 1.75.0.1300 First of all, I am running XP 64-bit and for years I have been using Malwarebytes version 2.2.1.1043. This is the only one I could find that installs and runs on XP 64-bit. Unfortunately, some time ago Malwarebytes decided to block the downloading of the latest definitions for this version, I have tested this out, and All versions listed above 2.2.1.1043 will not install on XP 64-bit. 1.75.0.1300 installs fine on XP 64-bit I found this to be important thanks to AstroSkipper: deactivate the automatic programme update to avoid receiving an unwanted programme upgrade! This happened to me about about 4 times after each press of the Check for Update button.. Thanks to AstroSkipper again: If updating doesn't work directly, try again, and again, and again until it works! From now on, you will receive the latest virus definitions. Using the program and scanning files works great on XP 64-bit1 point

Many thanks for your overall efforts and for (finally ) going public with this! I have it installed in latest Serpent 52 (32-bit) since an hour ago, and, AFAICT, everything works according to the advertised functionality! The "1 min" check interval (might want to correct your typo there ) is very handy when you launch your VPN service and want to be quickly notified about your "new" (spoofed) external IP address ; what would be even handier is a function/button to "Check Now" , rather than have to wait for that "one minute" to go by; would this be technically feasible? Thanks in advance ! Addendum: In a similar vein, in Serpent 52/55 I use myself the WebExtension Firefox add-on IP Geolocator: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/ip-geolocator/ Latest v2.1.0 works fine in St52, if using the default browser theme: As you can see, the IP flag (and country's two-string code) is displayed inside the toolbar button itself, this means one less click to "view" it (compared to the extension kindly offered here ); another screenshot, this one with the add-on's settings: The IP change alert is done via browser notification, e.g.: The main problem I have with IP Geolocator on St52 is that its toolbar button becomes gigantic when using the third-party complete theme Photonic (my preferred one on St52): ; thus, when on Photonic, I'll be switching to Check My IP Address & Location (of course, since IP Geolocator is a WE, it can't be used with NM28 ) ... Kindest regards ...1 point

Such comments should actually be beneath you. Here, in this thread, it is about antivirus programs for Windows XP and not about personal sensitivities. Malwarebytes Premium 3.5 didn't have the top score results in the tests at the time, but it does work exactly as you configure it. No such problems with Malwarebytes as I have observed with Norton & Co. Here is a better overview and shows how Malwarebytes has developed up to the latest (not XP-compatible) version, which has very good scores, though: https://www.av-test.org/en/antivirus/home-windows/manufacturer/malwarebytes/1 point
