@Egorkaru No need to spam this forum topic. It is possible to convert themes from the Mozilla addons site to Serpent 52/Basilisk format, but it will not be easily possible to make them installable directly without converting them first as they are in WebExtension format. New Firefox themes are essentially just personas. In this Pale Moon Forum topic jobbautista9 provides an example of a theme from the Mozilla addons site that he converted into a persona. If someone is interested in the conversion process, it would be useful to review his converted persona and compare the source code of his persona to the same theme on the Mozilla addons site. You'll see in my comment on that topic I provided a link to an old version of the Mozilla addons site on archive.org that has some older themes archived. Some of those themes will install on Serpent 52 and Basilisk.5 points

You really need to stop doing this! This type of impatience is very likely grounds for getting yourself banned from MSFN. Roytam only releases his browsers once per week and you have five requests in three days all for the same issue!5 points

@Egorkaru Your issue is very special, and a solution does not necessarily benefit the general public. Moreover, the tone makes the music. Your error spam here is rather impolite and counterproductive. One polite request is always enough.3 points

the pac file is inaccessible outside russia, so it is not possible to test. and since Serpent and NewMoon share same network/proxy code, there is no reason that works on Serpent but not on NewMoon. You should ask Basilisk team if they have such intention to do so. this is a WONTFIX here. you can download xpi and change minimum version to 28 and install.2 points

https://source.chromium.org/chromium/chromium/src/+/refs/tags/86.0.4240.99:services/device/wake_lock/power_save_blocker/power_save_blocker_win.cc Guess this was not properly adapted for case of missing APIs on older OS. Calling JavaScript code is lied to that the request was fulfilled, but effectively does nothing.2 points

Hello @basilisk-dev, just a big Thank you (at this place) for still providing a version of Basilisk for Linux too! Grabbed the tarball recently from here, unpacked it on my debian partition, simply dragged the profile folder from Win-XP and everthing worked well an familiarly! My main and reliable browser: on XP, on Win7 and on Linux - very nice!1 point

SMPlayer.22.7.0-qt5.6-Port.7z can use yt-dlp.exe by @nicolaasjan. The subdir \mpv\ contains MPV NT6, you can delete all the contents and copy yt-dlp.exe there. ... Just a small FYI: St52 (unlike official Basilisk) has kept Fx52-level WebExtension support, so a WE Mozilla "theme" (a "persona" in WE format) will actually install (and appear inside "Extensions", not "Themes"), but will not visually apply...1 point

Using a unattend.xml, you can launch programs, just before desktop icons and taskbar appears. WinNTSetup's tweaks are limited, but FirstLogonCommands do run with admin rights, so you can do any customization in these scripts.1 point

Not in my view. Not all of us "see" things the same way and every one of our worlds is centered around what we ourselves "see". Why "micromanage" and create a visual concentric to one paradigm? Removing posts for the sake of disagreement is "micromanaging" what others "see" and attempts to paint one paradigm. I'll leave that to legacyfan (OP) and the mods. But yes, "this has been fun", lol.1 point

Thank you for your interest in Mental Health Awareness Month! Here is a link to the Wikipedia article: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mental_Health_Awareness_Month A festival sounds like a great idea! Perhaps we could have our own little festival in this thread? Perhaps a little music might liven things up a bit? I wonder if you young fellows ever listened to Pink Floyd, a famous rock group that first appeared during the psychedelic sixties? One of its founding members was Syd Barrett, who by all accounts was quite mentally ill and took entirely too much LSD. He was the band’s singer, guitarist and songwriter in their early days - but his fellow band members ultimately decided to kick him out. Nevertheless, mental health (or the lack thereof) continued to be a recurring theme in Pink Floyd’s music. The group became phenomenally successful with the release of Dark Side of the Moon In 1973, a concept album about the human condition. Here’s how the album ended: 🤕 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Z39KZAryzk1 point

@freakedenough You didn’t actually say if you are able to use Windows Mail and/or Outlook 2003/2007 in the year 2023? If you can, then perhaps Sergiaws was not aware that Vista x64 required more registry changes than Vista x86 for TLS 1.2 (however he did mention “internet options” in first sentence). Possibly relevant: Outlook 2007 did not use Internet Explorer’s rendering engine: https://www.wired.com/2007/01/outlook-2007-adopts-ms-word-rendering-engine/1 point

Firefox is my main browser. It was formerly Pale Moon, but the bloated web started to take its toll and some websites refused to work properly. In many respects, Google Chrome has become the new Internet Explorer and it isn't hard to come across a website that only properly works under Chrome. I refuse to be subjected to Google's spyware where possible, however, so I only use it when absolutely necessary (and specifically - Ungoogled Chromium, at that). Firefox is far from perfect. Their Quantum update and rebrand seemed to have been done in an attempt of attracting Chrome users while in reality only serving to alienate their existing user base. Firefox simply can't compete with Google's monopoly over the web. It will never be the fastest browser (many suspect non-Chrome browsers are purposefully throttled on sites such as YouTube), but it was at one point the clear winner in terms of features and customization. I could go on, but you probably get the idea. With that being said, my wishful hope is that Mozilla understands the importance of keeping Windows 7 & 8 support. I couldn't possibly know what their usage statistics on those operating systems say or what exactly their ultimatum will be for eventually ending support, but I hope it's pushed back as far as possible. For those of us left on Windows 7 & 8, likely disillusioned with Microsoft's current direction, it's only going to get more difficult. Undoubtedly, there will be unofficial browsers (as there have been already) but having official support is still quite important.1 point

Good, selective quote. So also: never redundantly quote the previous post in its entirety. Be selective, or simply respond without quoting.1 point
