  1. Well, if you ask me to launch a nice topic about the good things in life, here is one... It's true, that we live in dark times for humanity as a whole, but then to detoxify from all this - we'll talk only about good things in life, if you want... All subjects are welcome here, as long as they will talk about pretty and nice side of life... about hope for better times, about interesting things for people eager to learn, with beautiful photos and videos, with mood and smiles.... in freedom. So be warned that ugliness and sadness has no place here. Your preferences will be mine. First of all I would like to ask you to suggest me the pretty title of this topic... Does "Pretty Detox Posts" sound good to you?...Whoever has a better idea, please present it here, pretty please. THANK YOU! I would like to start, to make it easier for me (it's already late here...), with a nice link to bored panda website - today with the theme "50 People Having A Pretty Miserable Day (New Pics)" - 50 People Having A Pretty Miserable Day (New Pics): https://www.boredpanda.com/bad-day-accidents-fails/ - my favorite is this one: #4 For A Month, I Thought I Lost My Wedding Ring On A Cross Country Road Trip. Finally, I Gave Up Ever Seeing It Again When We Realized It Was Under My Husband's Deodorant I called gas stations, pawn shops, searched lost and found posts. by roseazomReport Not bad this one! Then for those who would like to sleep at night, this: "Sonido de Lluvia Relajante - Sin truenos y un poco Intensa para dormir #197" - Relaxing Rain Sound - No thunder and a little bit intense to sleep with:

  2. Spectre was public knowledge in January 2018 and even "grandma" knew what it was by May through July of 2018. Chrome v69 was released in September 2018. Chrome addressed Spectre and Meltdown vulnerabilities with the release of Chrome v64 in January 2018 -- https://www.express.co.uk/life-style/science-technology/900606/Google-Chrome-update-patch-Meltdown-Spectre-Intel-fix-version-64 Firefox releases also addressed Spectre and Meltdown in January 2018 -- https://support.mozilla.org/bm/questions/1198249 I would keep the 360Chrome v11 (Chrome v69) flag at DEFAULT and not change it at all.

  3. lol, too funny. You could always use Stylus to move the "mole". Or use Stylus to not even display the "mole". I actually use Stylus to not only not display the "mole", but to not even display that profile "face" AT ALL. No face for Dave-H. No face for D.Draker. No face for Dixel. No blobfish for whoever used to use a blobfish. etc...

  4. I'll say this much, I sorely miss when I used to live in Texas. I had to move out to the Bay Area due to my career, which I dreaded. I already knew ahead of time that the cost of living in places like the Bay Area and NYC eat away at whatever higher pay you might find working there. Gas is twice as expensive in the Bay as it was where I lived in Texas, though I've encountered places in California with prices higher still. From personal experience, if you're taking a cross-country trip that goes through the area where the borders of California, Nevada, and Arizona meet ... do NOT get gas at Needles if you can help it. (For posterity: as of this post, the cheapest gas there is $5.59/gal!) It's always seemed to be three times as expensive as what I was used to in Texas. Try and fuel up in Kingman, Arizona instead; the prices are much saner there. ($3.19/gal as of this post) Speaking of electric blankets, back in 2018 I lived in a different house where my room had a messed up window pane and thus my room typically matched whatever the outside temperature was at that point. One morning temperatures dropped so low outside that I woke up to find my feet mildly frostbitten! There's a place in the Bay Area called Excess Solutions that's saved my bacon, though. In addition to resale of liquidated company assets (so you can find a lot of old computer hardware, sometimes more recent stuff: back in 2020 they were selling a bunch of Aorus X570 Elite motherboards, I was very tempted to get one) and electric components, they also sell overstock of various products. I was able to get a Full-sized version of this thermal blanket for $15! It's been so effective at keeping me warm I haven't ever needed to plug the thing in. Recently Amazon snapped up the property Excess Solutions was located at, but thankfully, they've moved to a nearby location. More than I can say for Weirdstuff Warehouse; I'm still mad that I didn't find out about that place until after Google bought out the property and shut the place down. I would have liked to have seen it ...

  5. It is perfectly normal to install NT in dual boot with windows 95 (as a matter of fact NT was designed to be installed on logical volumes inside extended). Which filesystem, does your C: volume have (if it is FAT32 then that might be the base issue, NT knows nothing about FAT32, but there are possible workarounds). Also, which filesystem does your D: volume have? (if it is NTFS you won't easily access its contents from Win95) And can you confirm that it is a logical volume inside extended? (from what you reported it seems to me more likely that it is a second primary) What might have happened is (if my guess about FAT32 is correct) that the NT install somehow attempted to make the second volume active ignoring altogether the Win95 installation. Check where (if) the files: NTLDR BOOT.INI NTDETECT.COM have been written to (either C: or D:), since they are hidden and system files you will need to configure correctly explorer or use attrib on command line or use anothe file manager that shows hidden and system files. Normally in these kind of setup the boot partition (what the good MS guys call "system"), i.e. the primary, active partition should be FAT16 (to be accessible by both Win95 and NT), it can be a very small one, containing only the three files above and the Windows 95 DOS files. If you cannot move/shrink/resize or convert partitions, there are other workarounds, though, but you will need to use a third party bootmanager (grub4dos is suggested). jaclaz

  7. Probably, never looked into it. The author of the program presumably put it there because bad actors apparently love trying to use his program as the vessel for bad stuff. Yup, it's not saved anywhere. I may take a look next weekend.

  8. I have a problem with my old computer, it does not have a working CD reader, and it has Windows 95 , and at the same time it's Pentium 2 , it cannot and does not have a USB boot feature in the BIOS.. I could not install Windows NT 4 yet. I have a big problem with time, I started working in a web development company and studying at the same time. I'll try to install Windows NT 4 later, and I'll tell you if it works or not. If Windows NT 4 succeeds in creating the memory.dmp file, I will get the new baseAddress, and the new kernel32 will work. I hope it works

  9. Reminds me of a story from my college days. One of my best friends' parents had a lake cottage we would have lake parties at during the summer. We're all sitting around and one of the guys starts screaming like a little girl and wailing his arms about trying to scare away a couple of bees. We all tell him to STOP wailing his arms about because that will do nothing but rile them up and CAUSE him to get stung. He continues crying like a little girl and wailing his arms until the bees fly away. We're making fun of him for crying like a little girl and he's just making excuse after excuse of him being "allergic" to bees. We keep telling him that is all the MORE REASON to SIT STILL and not to RILE THEM UP. A half an hour or so passes and I go to pick up my can of soda and drink from it. I dang near swallow three bees and I calmly spit out my soda and all three bees along with it. The little girl starts touting "I told you so's" and claiming he made his point, that we should be careful when bees are around because I almost just swallowed three of them. I turn to him, No, you're missing the bigger picture, I just made my point, I was calm and didn't start jumping up and down and wailing about, and guess what, I DIDN'T GET STUNG!
