Updated links in first post. This rolls back the data-write-prevention scheme but keeps a minor XP Theme skin change discovered while creating a dark theme as a low-priority side-project.2 points

Updated download links in first post. Reminder that there is no profile migration tool as of yet and reminder that this release has to copy FILES with a given name and overwrite FOLDERS with the SAME NAME (which Windows will prevent you from doing). If you wish to preserve your existing profile (bookmarks, extensions, settings), you will need to do this MANUALLY.2 points

Very grateful to you and others that have contributed to the development of this awesome browser. People that aren't using it or haven't yet discovered it are simply missing out! Thank you for your hard work and dedication1 point

I've been quite pleased with v11 and v12. I've not been nearly as satisfied with v13 and v13.5. But I've also learned to "never say never". I vowed "never" to touch a Chromium build when they got rid of the "title bar". Then Firefox Australis followed their footsteps. I really really really HATE not having a "title bar" with 'standardized' "buttons". So it was Pale Moon and Mypal for years - but they simply have fallen behind, WAY BEHIND. So I had to break my "never" vow and here I am on a Chromium build - but it has a standard title bar and buttons1 point

After this wonderful browser I'll never touch anything related to Firefox !1 point

I have a dark theme I've been playing around with. But it is specifically tailored to look like XP. A very dark XP, but still XP. I really do have an immense hatred for 99.99% of my programs having the default XP "buttons" but "new" Chrome/Chromium/360Chrome/Firefox-Australis not having that XP "look". But I'm sure the same goes for you, you run Vista and you wanted an aero theme, so that makes perfect sense to me. I wouldn't mind having a copy of the Vista aero theme if you are allowed to share it. EVENTUALLY my skin folder will have options for end-users to pick from.1 point

The bitchute.com problem was discussed recently: The only workaround found so far (other than using one of the 360Chrome builds) is: I have no answer for your bank question. I'm no Javascript expert but I'd guess it's similar to the bitchute.com issue; i.e., it's not "detecting" your browser and rejecting it; it's just serving Javascript that doesn't run on it. This is becoming an increasingly common problem. Speaking of which, one of my favorite forum boards, avsforum.com, just broke UXP too. Well, not completely; it still "works" but viewing a thread with a reply box at the bottom (i.e., any unlocked thread while signed in) sometimes spikes CPU usage and slows down the browser unacceptably. CPU usage approaches 50% so it seems one of my two CPU cores is completely saturated. Sometimes it's fine though; the unpredictability is maddening. The first time I tried avsforum.com on 360Chrome, it locked up completely! But that seems to be resolved now and avsforum.com now works fine on 360Chrome. But I have a custom UserContent.css for avsforum.com, so I'd prefer to stick with UXP if I could find a workaround.1 point

I'm very touched you think of me , but honestly , don't bother and please don't waste your time . I have it already . I don't even remember where I got it . Some of the members gave it to me ? But it's working very good. So your powers could be saved for something more important like telemetry and speed. Thanks.1 point

If you want my opinion , I think we need to maintain this browser mostly for ourselves , this closed community of people who care about real privacy . Why ? Not because I don't give a damn about the others , no . It's just because no one really cares . I don't know anyone who uses something home made or even a bit edited . Here [in my city] everyone "upgraded" to the newest systems ages ago and no one cares . There are only a few of us , really.1 point

it seems only the July 2021 & August 2021 security only updates [aka. KB5004302 & KB5005094 for Win8 / Server 2012] (and any W8.x big monthly "rollups" from July 2021 onwards) are the only updates that do remove activex flash. the Sep 2021 security only updates like KB5005607 for Win8 and KB5005627 for Win8.1, on the other hand, do NOT remove flash as Microsoft mistakenly said they would include flash removal but in reality these updates do not even touch the adobe flash files and the flash player control panel app remains intact1 point

Note regarding "upgrading" -- the next round of updates cannot be performed by simply extracting files/folders and overwriting your existing files/folders. Windows does not allow you to copy a FILE with a given name and have it overwrite a FOLDER with the SAME NAME.1 point

This kind of behaviour is present in any Chrome based browser and no one gives a d@mn. Any browser or OS these days is a huge keylogger , like Windows 7 , 8 , 10 , 11. I deleted (blocked) Web Data file in the default folder , forgot to say . It logs the websites I visit . What other files/folders can we safely block ?1 point

I had same issue on my lab setup also running ryzen. Microsoft did release patch but when I installed it same issue still. I experienced high cpu usage and slowdowns that did not exist win10. It was known issue according MS and maybe there is patch but for me going to buggy beta software is not worth it. At the end what super impressive to end user MS has brought after win7? For me only recisting more freedom and control over my OS (That actually started on windows 98)1 point
