And no virus, trojan or any other kind of malware has ever got into any of my machines since last millenium. In view of all this, I stand corrected: from now on consider yourself promoted to MSFN's one and only resident supermegaüberhyperultraparanoid!

Good news, everyone. Before MSDN wiped out all the messages, I said that I was going back to Microsoft to ask them about ECC and I did. I called them and I spoke with John Paul I and he said "it really is important for us to get this worked on". In other words, even though he didn't tell me when it's gonna be included in the next update cycles, it seems that Microsoft *will* include it in the next update cycles. I'm as happy as Larry.

Yeah I think I am starting to hear about more people using Windows 10 now (anecdotally in my own circles). I find that's the best real-world indicator.

I constantly check my bank account using XP, but I also have Avast Premier with its shields, its firewall and I use nordvpn that has a built-in antivirus that can catch and stop threats before they reach my PC. With all these things, I think I'm gonna be fine 'till April 2019 and a bit after that date. Then, who knows... but I think that I'm far more secure than many "ultra-bleeding-edge" W10 machines.

I can't see any difference between doing my banking with XP in 2008 and doing my banking with XP in 2018 except that I'm 10 years older. Also, I never do any kind of russian roulupdates on my computer, I disabled the securshitty center and I still don't have an anti-virus, except on demand scanning. On that 10 years old laptop, the system starts in 50 seconds and use 140 Mb of memory.

Well aside from a few things, the list has been completely restored to its original state before the server crashes. I will make a few more adjustments when I come back. This was quite a tedious task, especially having to reenter the key abbreviation colors and download links, so much so that my hands hurt now, lol. Really hope I don't have to do this again

Mine can handle 720p H.264 just fine. For 1080p though I'd really need the videocard's DXVA capabilities. Streaming or downloading first makes no difference if you ask me. With 3DYD Youtube Source setup to prefer the 1080p H.264 videostream and the Opus audiostream, together with the latest still working DXVA videodecoder from MPC-BE I can watch Youtube videos no problem without having to download them first.

Server crashed badly. They couldn't retrieve data from second (backup) HDD'a. We lost data for last 3 months. Luckily i had local backup from Februar. I apologize for the inconvenience caused.
