  1. Past hour
  2. It does load *VERY* slowly. I would be okay with even taking a quality loss. Watching that image load in "chunks", wait a second, another "chunk" loads, is a bit of an eyesore. It is not my ISP, my download speed is 500 Mbps. Sure, there are faster plans available, but 500 works for everything else. Just not this Kyle of Lochalsh screenshot. My guess is that it is a server-side upload bottleneck.
  3. Today
  4. @feodor2 on your mypal website for that Kyle of Lochalsh screenshot you can decrease color depth to 256 colors for much smaller .png size with no noticable quality loss.
  5. My system seems to be more stable with "Accelerated 2D canvas" set to disabled. I am not sure what it does exactly if anything in this version. I have an issue with the video driver weirdly glitching in Windows GUI on Server 2008 R2, such as scrollbars flashing, and I suspect this acceleration triggers similar problems. Acceleration seems to be completely superfluous and an opportunity for webmasters to cram even more bloat into sites. Not sure if I have completely disabled acceleration with this setting alone. New Moon's acceleration is already off for me under Advanced > General. I noticed a non-intuitive behavior with Delete Browsing Data -> Last hour. It does delete the history as expected. But if I have also visited other sites within the hour, their login cookies will get deleted too. They apparently get updated to the last visitation time, which falls into the period of deletion.
  6. Just read, he considers dropping off 7, too. Can you ask for a farewell version that works without updates on 32bit Vista? As I suspect, I had missed one or two telemetry updates (intentionally).
  7. Sadly, I don't have an account there. Could you do it for me? Thank you. Attach the log. [1114/123040.823:ERROR:main_dll_loader_win.cc(138)] Failed to load Chrome DLL from C:\Chromium\134.0.6998.165\chrome.dll: The parameter is incorrect. (0x57)
  8. No, there shouldn't be any problems with that processor. I thought that maybe you have a processor without SSE3 and that's why it won't start. Then you need to write to the developer. Even though he no longer supports Vista, he may be able to tell you what the problem is.
  9. Yesterday
  10. This thread is about @roytam1's browsers targeting legacy OSes. And that means even browsers under Windows 7 and Windows 8 as they are also legacy in the meanwhile. But I think @Zorba the Geek is looking for a solution under Windows XP.
  11. Oh yeah! That! (weird how you forget that this is meant to target XP, once you leave it behind. I'm more of the mindset that says, "Can it at least run on Windows 7 or 8", as that's a challenge now)
  12. I assume that @Zorba the Geek is looking for a client targeting Windows XP. However, your recommended email client Betterbird requires at least Windows 7 64bit.
  13. I have tried Interlink, MailNews and Epyrus. None of them can work with OAuth2 (at least for Outlook). I've since installed Betterbird, back in the spring. All good now
  14. Yes. Install it from the Mozilla Add-ons page! For example the British English Dictionary (the only real English ): https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/british-english-dictionary-2/ Here is a screenshot taken from my Mypal 74.1.4 installation:
  15. @feodor2 released Mypal 74.1.4 some days ago. Today, I have installed it and made some tests. The good news: my favoured Alice0775 script loading method still seems to be working with this new version, without any additional modifications. The bad news: the Custom Buttons extension stopped working completely.
  16. Is there any fix planned for new youtube idiotism going on (video picture shown for a split second then replaced with config error BS)?
  17. Update to Version Ver20250522 Update rootsupd and rvkroots. Change EXE from WinRAR to Windows Win32Cab
  18. Understood, but @Tripredacus was consulted on this occasion, and agreed that no further action was needed in this case. That will not always be the case of course.
  19. Of course it did make a couple of very generic, blog-style posts to distract attention from the advertising goal, who on MSFN would do such kind of empty topics? No PC specs, nothing! https://msfn.org/board/topic/186949-starting-fresh/ In the good old days @Tripredacus punished for this, maybe even banned, since the bot no longer appeared again. https://msfn.org/board/topic/182109-windows-vista-modernisation-guide/page/2/#findComment-1226962 So my point stands, sorry.
  20. Intel Core i5 7th Gen Core i5-7500 Kaby Lake Quad-Core 3.4 GHZ
  21. Working great now! Thank you very much!
  22. Last week
  23. I haven't used these extensions for years. All modifications are done by me manually inside extensions themselves if they need to be fixed. And that means I am not interested in these two extensions at all. They are of no use to me.
  24. StartAllBack 3.9.18
  25. Thank you. --- The update "WINDOWSXP-OTSKB000001-V2-X86-INTL.exe" has been released to the general public. The help file "OTSKB.chm" and the code comparison file "code.htm" have been updated accordingly. --- This update is for Windows XP (32 bits) users. However, in theory it can also be used by Windows Embedded for Point of Service (32 bits) users. However, it was tested on Windows XP (32 bits). No tests have been done on Windows Embedded for Point of Service (32 bits). Also, this update announces itself as a Windows XP update in the title bar during the installation and deinstallation and in control panel -> software. I know, this is not perfect, but it's the best I have so far. --- things to do: Windows Server 2003 update: add the version "5.2.3790.6946" of the file "win32k.sys" to "code.htm" add the version "5.2.3791.0001-V1" of the file "win32k.sys" to "code.htm" add the update "Windows Server 2003/OTSKB000001-V1" to the help file write the update test it release it Windows Embedded POSReady 2009 update: add the version "5.1.2600.7684" of the file "win32k.sys" to "code.htm" add the version "5.1.2602.0001-V1" of the file "win32k.sys" to "code.htm" add the update "Windows Embedded POSReady 2009/OTSKB000001-V1" to the help file write the update test it release it
  26. No idea I'm afraid, it's up to Shane the developer. 138.0.7260.295 R6 has been in pre-release for a week now. Presumably if no show-stopping issues come to light, it will become the first 138 release soon.
  27. when is next new release
  28. Yes, I filed a complaint this morning (it was already "deleted"). Instead it's maybe better to use a PrivateBin instance. https://github.com/PrivateBin/PrivateBin
