XPero Posted January 8, 2007 Posted January 8, 2007 XPize 4.6 Beta 2Still testing stuff. Final nearer Important Note:- Uninstalling XPize 4.6 Beta 1 may break IE7. If it does, reinstall IE7, then XPize 4.6 Beta 2.- Support for IE6, WMP10/9 and Remote Desktop 5 has been dropped, although this new beta shouldn't break the first two. It will break Remote Desktop Connection 5.ChangelogDownloadHappy XPizing! B)
piXelatedEmpire Posted January 8, 2007 Posted January 8, 2007 YAY! Better late than never Xpero! Cheers
Dynaletik Posted January 9, 2007 Posted January 9, 2007 Thanks for the update XPero.I just updated my mirror.
ricktendo Posted January 9, 2007 Posted January 9, 2007 Testing it now XPero and ty for all your hard work on XPize
Taomyn Posted January 9, 2007 Posted January 9, 2007 I don't see anywhere saying if we should remove Beta 1 before installing Beta 2.What should we do?
martin10018 Posted January 9, 2007 Posted January 9, 2007 XPize 4.6 Beta 2Important Note:Support for IE6, WMP10/9 and Remote Desktop 5 has been dropped, although this new beta shouldn't break the first two. It will break Remote Desktop Connection 5.Happy XPizing! B)Why???? Please rethink that. Not everyone uses WMP 11. I don't, since WMP 11 breaks support for some of the download shops I use. It isn't a mandatory update. Same with IE 7.So I'll have to stick with beta 1.
bledd Posted January 9, 2007 Posted January 9, 2007 what do you mean by breaks remote desktop 5?you can't release this if it stops it working completly!, can't it just skip the file if the version isn't =6 ?
getmewarez Posted January 9, 2007 Posted January 9, 2007 I have a really nerving bug here:After XPize has changed the icon of the systray-battery-icon I can't switch it of anymore...
Maleko Posted January 9, 2007 Posted January 9, 2007 remove of previous versions required b4 instaling?
XPero Posted January 9, 2007 Author Posted January 9, 2007 Taomyn & Maleko:Not needed but always recommended.martin10018:I have to move on and can't keep happy everyone, unfortunately.bledd:Well, I must release it since it is beta and needs testing. You can uncheck that file in the installer if you dont want it patched. I will try to add version checking to the installer but I hate having lot of "just in case" garbage code.
martin10018 Posted January 9, 2007 Posted January 9, 2007 (edited) I don't see anywhere saying if we should remove Beta 1 before installing Beta 2.What should we do?Uninstalling Beta 1 broke my IE 7 installation.Edit:I've seen the other thread about it... Edited January 9, 2007 by martin10018
