Which is the best browser?

Well i did not find a suitable thread for such a hot topic like browsers. Although i do not have a very varied list of browsers available in the market. I choose 4 of the top browsers. Please excuse me if i hav left out any of your favorites. you can specefy the name and cast your vote as a post . i shall add them up here with the others.

Also i did not add browsers like avant because they use internet explorers core . so lets just talk about the cores.

This topic has come up time and time again. There is no single "best" browser. Each person has their own preferences.

I like Opera. Others like Firefox. My parents like Maxthon. My girlfriend likes IE.

As for those people who b***h and moan about spyware - Spybot S&D and SpywareBlaster. That's all you ever need if you're running IE under XP SP2.

End of story.

i've always hated netscape, even more that i hate ie. i use ie sometimes, but i despise those who use netscape!!

firefox and maxthon also have nice features some functions are even better than they're in opera but i like everything about opera.!!

Reasons why? Someone else who comes here and reads this isn't going to gain anything but your opinion.

This is why I don't like threads like this... people come and simply say what their favorite is without explaining why. There was another thread like this somewhere else on the forums (not the one in the polls section) that actually contained a good feature set of each browser and the pros and cons for each. Maybe if I'm bored I'll try to dig it up...

I used to find FIREFOX slow,

UNTIL I found this:

that made it decently fast, but still a bit slower than OPERA

...and I hate IE and ALL other browser based on the IE engine as it is BLOATWARE.

I even have a Win2k install where I completely removed ALL IE components (with the help of the great Fred Vorck)
