Hi gdogg!

Telephony service is removed by microwinx pack in the beta 2.5 ?

I tried to add the pppoe by myself and only works removing the pack from nLite....

I know that issue exists.

Many dsl modems act as routers too.

or connecting to a router instead works too.

I will make it work under beta 2.75.

Hi, how do I download this? i been trying for like 10 mines still have gotten this microX download I'm curiest what this password suppost to be for? what am i doing incorrect?

the password is how it looks.

since its a bit bugged with winrar and older versions of 7zip

you need to copy paste the password 5 times or more.

then it will unzip.

Refer to gdogg's post just before yours, the password works eventually.

Edit: Umm *cough*, Gdoggs, I was a bit careless and couldn't be bothered reading the precious 52 pages and double clicked on the microwinx setup file in the svcpack directory which appeared to do nothing for a minute but then copied a few files somewhere and changed the background which I promptly put back to the original. On rebooting I keep getting automatically logged out as soon as i log in, even in safe mode. Had to reinstall on a separate partition. Is there an easy way of restoring my original profile, cheers.

what you did was simple.

you replace minlogon with winlogon.

this is a restore error atm, fixed in beta 2.75

to fix this, just get winlogon.exe, the smallest one, w/o an icon.

and put it back in your microwinX, system32 directory, renaming winlogon.exe to winlogon.bak, and so forth

Hi gdogg!

It's possible to load/unload the shell from command-line ?

For example, will be a good idea a .bat file that:

1) unload the shell

2) load the game

3) load the shell (on game exit)

Regards!

im not too sure if that would work. this is all handled by litestep, not by the command line. i guess that u could just have a .bat the kills litestep then starts it again.

yah, it wouldn't be so easily possible without a third party piece of software made just for this.

guess it would be similiar, to like nvidia drivers, that load different AA AF and sli methods, depending on the game.

I dont see it happening, if you want to unload the desktop, click the XG in the bottom corner, right click out.

also, shell is setup to restartshell.

but from the sounds of it, your a user, who want to have command as shell.

Is this right?

There is a lite weight gamers shell. Not sure what the link is but easily found. BTW there is a way to apply reg tweaks just for gaming and then revetert back to your other reg rweaks after gaming.

I thought now would be a perfect time to extplain to some users, that the microwinX agreement is there for no other reason other than protecting microwinX, im not out to sue anyone, just protect work, and I think agreeing made it so all work, is protected, for all contributers.

I am all about users contributing to microwinX and making it there way, improving there experience, the way whey'd want it.

Users retain all rights, even with the agreement, which was only for beta 2.5, to protect it, where beta 2.75, will not have password proetected file, or agreement on site.
