i'm not able to get my webcam wpork with gaim and trillian basic. dont they support webcam?
gaim at least no, trillian will probably need a plugin or something, not sure about this last :}

Trillian beats Gaim hands down. Its much lighter , more reliable. The only thing that isnt great on trillian is yahoo voice conference support. Mine has always been absoluetly crap when trying to use it for that.

I saw screenshots of a new Trillian version coming out soon.

Gaim is up to v2.0 beta3 now which was released March 29, 2006.

Can't beat the portable version imo.

Afaik you need Trillian Pro. Video is being implemented in Gaim but is in developpement.

The screenshot doesn't look that much different from the current version, although they finally got rid of the scroll bar. You'd think after more than a year's time to develop the program they'd have mastered audio, video and conferencing chat. Oh well, I guess that's what Skype is for. :thumbup

trillian can be a dog at times with its errors

but thats life .. when its works its good

but i think they got a tab overkill with all the enw stuff they added to ver 3

only had a quick look and play with it ...
