K4sum1 Posted June 12, 2024 Author Posted June 12, 2024 Finally looked at this, focus is set to false by default. VPN was still enabled. I'm in the middle of working on an experimental feature, so I can't exactly just go and flip the pref, but I'll try to remember to do so.
Jody Thornton Posted July 9, 2024 Posted July 9, 2024 Will there be an ESR 128 build equivalent @K4sum1? 1

I made a 115 ESR for Vista build, and I will do the same for 128 soon. I'm going to be building my own Rust fork to fix a couple issues I've encountered with the 115 ESR build, and once I do that, I'll work on making a 128 ESR for Vista build. 2

Guest Posted August 6, 2024 Posted August 6, 2024 @NotHereToPlayGames If you will use this browser consider the benefit of the sandbox level (7) above that found in the Mozilla Wiki: https://wiki.mozilla.org/Security/Sandbox Superior to IL Low. I cannot translate it because in my language I assume it has a different meaning than in English. However, just use PE to verify If you want to check the sandbox level: about:support

Way way way too much "telemetry". 100-some connections made just by opening the browser! And I've heard it can be lowered to 20 or 30. That's still 20 or 30 too many. No thanks.

Romca Posted August 6, 2024 Posted August 6, 2024 There is some security risk with using the r3dfox web browser. Malicious code of the Trojan horse type was detected by analysis of 360 Total security, ClamAV, Jiangmin antivirus engine in the current version of the browser. Is this a false positive?
Guest Posted August 6, 2024 Posted August 6, 2024 (edited) Certainly an FP. Try parsing the installer(I scanned the x64 installer),and you will notice that JangMin (AV which is certainly not the most reliable) now considers it clean. Some AVs in VT have problems parsing compressed files. Edited August 6, 2024 by Sampei.Nihira
Romca Posted August 6, 2024 Posted August 6, 2024 Thank you Sampei.Nihira for your response. I would be happy if it was a false positive. The test with the installation file turned out differently than using the compressed file. By the way, even the alternative Supermium browser is not without problems, while the Thorium browser was clean.

ED_Sln Posted August 7, 2024 Posted August 7, 2024 Many antiviruses don't like any sfx modules at all. Even in the original 7z.sfx from 7zip some antiviruses find something. 2
