Well I can't reproduce that but opening and closing windows produces screen artifacts on 24H2 and latest Nvidia drivers :puke:

Yes on 24h2 and Nvidia latest drivers. I tried to record a short clip but it doesn't record the black screen. The black screen is there for like a second, like switching a light off and on when i hover on other app, then when i hover again on Netflix app it does the same. It only happens when i have a movie playing on the app.

Edit.

I found the cause, having transparency effects on from windows personalization is causing the problem.

New weird crash: I've been opening several .ods (LibreOffice Calc) files from FAR Manager (Shift+Enter on the file, which opens the file in default application, in my case LibreOffice 7.5.3.2); every now and then Explorer crashes:

explorer.exe caused an Access Violation at location 00007FFCC4A51878 in module StartAllBackX64.dll Reading from location 0000000000000018.

@Tihiy - I noticed that the latest update says "all new task bar".  Does this mean that its safe to update to the newest version of windows because you added the taskbar back for startallback?

Yes it's very safe, you should have no problems with it. I use it on 23H2 and it works normally. Yet some of the tools that were working with legacy tasbkar before do not work anymore, like 7+ Taskbar Tweaker.

Hello! Would it be possible to remove this thin line in explorer between the address bar and tabs? Apparently this bug was fixed in KB5039327 for 23H2 beta (22635.3858), but is still present in 24H2.

That's smoething MS should fix, they said it should be already, I don't have that problem at least. Isn't 24H2 a non-stable build?

Updating to 3.8.0 brought all the shortcuts fixed to the taskbar in monitor 1 to the second monitor (img 01)... and I can't get rid of them anymore!!!
Them I downgraded and now it's working (imag 02)  how it should be…
Please, fix it!

in hosts, should work. On the other hand, why would you need to disable SAB updates?

Latest update make things not work as I like!
I need just the one version before the latest!

Not sure I've got you there, but you mean the way it was made to work before was changed/removed and now no longer part of the OS but rather act like a separate app?

It's now a PWA.

I have exactly the same problem. All shortcuts from the taskbar on the first monitor also appeared on the taskbar on the second monitor and cannot be deleted on the second monitor. Because of this, I had to revert to an older version of StartAllBack.

Hi Tihiy,
Amazing work with the taskbar implementation in v3.8!
Just a a feature I am missing that worked in 3.7.11 is: When using multiple displays, I want to show my taskbar apps on the Main taskbar and taskbar where windows is open.
In the current version - the pinned taskbar icons are also displayed in the second monitor as opposed to just the apps open in that display.
Will it be updated in the next version?
Thank you so much!

I'd like to bring attention to this:

When Combine taskbar button is set to "Never, hide labels", it shows that

The buttons are combined, no ?

I don't think those buttons are *combined* (unless you have multiple Edge windows and they are grouped in that single icon, then I retract my statement :P), but they are in fact not showing any labels.

That's my problem right now, I don't know if it's a bug or an oversight; I'd like to be able to never combine the buttons AND have them labeled on SAB 3.8. I'm on an earlier version of W11, not yet the one that eliminated the old taskbar from the code, so if I revert to SAB 3.7.x and set "Combine taskbar buttons" to "Never", then I have the intented behavior:

image.png.55c216eda005337369f4be1a7b26e3be.png

...but on SAB 3.8, the options "Never" and "When taskbar is full" both set the taskbar to this (when "Never" shouldn't):

If you'd be so kind to take a look at this, many thanks in advance!

Start menu position works now from the Betas/RCs. However the taskbar still doesn't show when pressing the windows key in a borderless app (and I can't get it to show in any way in that scenario). This is kind of vital when playing games and such where you only have the main taskbar enabled. On the old 3.7.11 it works as expected.
