360 Extreme Explorer ArcticFoxie Versions

Recommended Posts

Noted, thanks.

I do several GUI changes to that window.

By default, an incomplete or broken download icon will not be lined up with rows above and below.

Or it could be the Pause and Resume icons while a download is still downloading, don't recall offhand.

At any rate, didn't get that far yet.

If we put a progress bar on what tweaks/modifications have been completed, Alpha_1 was at 2% and Alpha_2 is at 9%.

Still a very long way to go to get v13.5 caught up with previous rebuilds.

I guess I assumed that was implied when I labeled it "alpha"

Problem with Twitter (no registration, to read only) in some builds... ("Something went wrong, but don’t fret — let’s give it another shot.")

(Twitter.com and twimg.com: ALLOWED...)

360Chrome builds (Regular for r versions):

12 1592 M: failedScript ("Something went wrong, but...")

13 2250 M: OK.

12 1247 r 8: failedScript=polyfills ("Something went wrong, but...)

13 2206 r 3: OK.

13 2206 r 4: OK.

13 2206 r 5: "Something went wrong, but..."

I need an actual link, please.
I personally have no clue how to even find links to Twitter content, I've never visited a Twitter link in my entire life - no exaggeration.

All three links work for me in 12 1247 r 8.

Correction - if r is regular then I should say that all of these open without any errors in 12 1247 u 8 (I only use the "ungoogled").

But I suspect this is an XP x86 XP2 issue and not a regular versus ungoogled issue.

Here, in my Windows x86 XP SP2 - no.

Looking in Ublock O., on twimg.com have only: abs.twimg.com.

Missing: abs-0.twimg.com, pbs.twimg.com video.twimg.com.

This same of course with uBlock disabled...

Maybe you will find something useful here:  https://www.socialgrep.com/search?query=polyfills

I only tested those links in Incognito Mode (no extensions).
That's really the only way to rule out that an extension is causing your issues.
Also, I thought "polyfill" was why several of the YouTube folks started using a "mobile" link versus the "normal" link?

YES in incognito mode is OK.!

But in normal mode I've disabled all two extensions...

This happens in 12.1016 also. (Russian)

Feedback on your latest 12.1247:

I ...am not a fan of the XP skin. I don't use it; I use the "classic" a la 98 style gray scheme, and the default EE 360 scheme is more or less not clashing with that. So an option to turn that off would be ideal. I'm having a flashback to tweaking Netscape 3.0 to get its huge GUI out of the way a little bit to display more webpage and less riff-raff.

ALL is OK. in ALL builds here!

Problem of not displaying twitter page SOLUTION:

In "Better Popup Blocker 2" extension, in this extension's little popup window, click ALLOW (twitter) then RESET COOKIE in this window, and restart the browser. If after restarting the browser no twitter page to read, click once again RESET COOKIE link in the window of Better P. B. 2 - so twitter page come back OK., too OK. after another restarts of the browser. No more endless "Something went wrong, but don't fret - let's give it another shot" ... Problem of not displaying twitter page is SOLVED.

If you don't more have this extension, then downoad it and make like above... - what I did in 12 r 8 build...

Under browser Settings/Advanced/Web content/Content settings/All cookies and site data, twitter.com has 4 or 6 cookies, Database storage, Local storage - 33 MB !!! - really heavy. I wonder if this does not decrease the speed of the browser...
