GD 2W10 Posted November 24, 2023 Posted November 24, 2023 (edited) Would NTOSKRNL Emu Extender be able to backport the generic audio drivers in Vista x64 to XP x64? I installed XP x64 on my Surface Pro 1, and I can't install any audio drivers, so would backporting the generic audio drivers from Vista/7/8 x64 to XP work with NTOSKRNL Emu Extender? Damnation Posted November 26, 2023 Posted November 26, 2023 @GD 2W10 It depends on which functions the audio driver depends on.

Nope, porting newer HDA seems impossible. You can try one of ported beta HDAs. https://www.mediafire.com/folder/gpl7nk2osi3vl/Generic_HDA Edited December 1, 2023 by George King

George King Posted December 7, 2023 Posted December 7, 2023 @GD 2W10Yes, from various builds. Mostly untested.
user57 Posted January 18 Posted January 18 that NdisSetCoalescableTimer seems a timer function for me, it might work without that specific flag be set it has the same KTIMER structure as in KeSetTimerEx and xp has this one https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-hardware/drivers/ddi/wdm/nf-wdm-kesettimer https://www.geoffchappell.com/studies/windows/km/ntoskrnl/inc/ntos/ntosdef_x/dispatcher_header/timercontrolflags.htm if that DPC parameter is in use xp also has the KeInitializeDpc, the same goes for KeInitializeTimerEx https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-hardware/drivers/ddi/wdm/nf-wdm-kesetcoalescabletimer
