did you try PM28XP?

Just tried it now, and indeed, the problem does not happen there. :)

Has Google implemented something which is not compatible with the older version?

I've seen the INTERRUPTED problem often in FF2 over the last few years. A site will work for several minutes as long as I keep accessing it; but once I stop to read the contents for several minutes, the next access is INTERRUPTED.

If a persistant connection goes idle, the server might time it out and break the connection. If this is done in a new way the browser doesn't recognize, the browser might just report INTERRUPTED instead of reestablishing the connection and trying again. In addition to a time-out limit, perhaps some servers are now setting maximum time or transaction limits on "persistant" connections.

Restarting the browser is guaranteed to break and reestablish all connections. Closing all windows and tabs to a site and browsing elsewhere for a while might also work. A menu option to manually break all connections would be nice.

I suggest we look at connection settings such as:
* network.http.max-persistent-connections-per-server = 2 (1?)
* network.http.pipelining = false
* network.http.keep-alive.timeout = 300 (60 to lower expectations?)
* network.http.version = 1.1 (1.0?)

From https://www.quora.com/How-is-HTTP-keep-alive-different-from-connection-timeout
The extra Keep-Alive header can inform the client how long the server is willing to keep the connection open (timeout=N value) and how many requests you can do over the same connection (max=M) before the server will force a close of the connection.

I have been looking for a simple tool or program that I could install into New Moon to turn JavaScript 'on and off' easily and quickly.

Someone at the K-Meleon forum gave me a heads up on a tool called JS Switch that works in Pale Moon ... I didn't exactly find that one with a Google search but instead found this one called 'Toggle JavaScript'. Seems to be the same program and simple to install.

It also seems to work just fine with UBlock Origin installed. Seems to work with both NM 27 and 28. I will post the link if anyone else is interested.

Toggle JavaScript

Hi roytam1, I have trouble making Eclipsed Moon extension work on PM 26.5.0 (https://addons.palemoon.org/addon/eclipsedmoon/). The installation is success, but the add-on's Preferences dialog doesn't open ...

Author homepage listed compatibility version is from 25.0 to 27, so it seems this is not a compatibility issue. Looking forward for your help, thank you !

Eclipsed Moon appears in the tool menu and settings appear. The settings window is inactive even in palemoon atom, newmon and all palemoon modifications on XP.
It's the fault of the supplement.

You need to read about the supplement on the palemoon website;)
I will add that test package - error 404

A test package to verify the operation of the random User Agent generation may be downloaded from here:

 There's still an issue in Basilisk with distorted audio in Twitter videos.

And the issue is now present in New Moon as well (it wasn't present back when were using the LAV codecs for playing media in New Moon but it is now).
The issue is present on three completely different computers of mine so it's not simply an isolated computer problem.
This isn't a complaint or a request for help (I don't even use Twitter). I'm just reporting a bug.
Here's a video in which the audio is distorted:  https://twitter.com/josefkenny/status/974587426676117505

OS: Windows XP Pro SP3 (actual installs, not VM installs)

The issue is complicated, since twitter online video player uses HLS and MPEG-TS streams concatenated with M3U8 playlist.

if you play https://video.twimg.com/ext_tw_video/974587023683145728/pu/vid/640x360/M8r8z3moWOj9VDu6.mp4 directly, the issue doesn't exist.

All three (MP4, Basilisk and NewMoon) work OK for me. I am using old versions though, Nightly 03-06-2018 and New Moon 27.9.0a1.

Guys, I have a problem with this site (not sure if this is a bug of the site or of the browser). When I click a page button, the loading indicator appears, old content disappears, and... everything hangs up (remains in that state). I have this behavior on New Moon 27.7.0a2 and Chrome 45, but it is somehow works correctly in FF 42. What's going on?) Can you confirm this (if some of you still uses New Moon 27.7.x)?

UPD: Updated New Moon to version 27.9.1a1, the problem is still in place...
